France name 42-man squad for Quilter Nations Series

Why is Antoine Dupont not playing in the 2024 Six Nations? The answer: Paris 2024 Olympics

France have named their 42-player squad ahead of the 2025 Quilter Nations Series.

Several fresh faces feature in head coach Fabien Galthié’s squad, with strong representation from Top 14 leaders Section Paloise, who contribute six players to the group.

Among the new call-ups are Toulouse duo Benjamin Bertrand and Kalvin Gourgues, both earning their first senior call-ups after standout performances in the Top 14 and in the U20s. Bertrand, a dynamic front-rower, and Gourgues, a versatile back-three option, are joined by returning names such as Emerick Setiano, while notable absentees include Thomas RamosCyril BailleCharles Ollivon, and Antoine Hastoy.

France will embark on an exciting Quilter Nations Series campaign this November, starting with huge rivals the Springboks (8th Nov), Fiji (15th Nov), and Australia (22nd Nov). All matches will be shown live on TNT Sports, with global broadcast info here.

Antoine Dupont remains sidelined as he continues his recovery from the injury sustained during France’s victorious 2025 Guinness Men’s Six Nations campaign. Dupont’s absence will be felt, but France have proven they can thrive without him – notably clinching that Championship title earlier this year with Maxime Lucu and Nolann Le Garrec stepping up in his place.
