But while reading out the supposed answer, “Knock it out of the park,” the contestant, named Dee, forgot to say the word “of.”

The buzzer immediately sounded, marking the answer as incorrect.

The camera then switched to the next contestant, Kerry, who also opted to “solve.”

“Knock it out of the park,” he answered, winning the round.

Wheel of Fortune fans beg show to ‘get a host with humor’ like Pat

According to the official Wheel of Fortune website rules, “In all cases the judges will try and give the ‘benefit of the doubt’ to the contestant solving the puzzle, taking into consideration speech impediments, regional dialects, nervous contestants and studio conditions.

“Each case will be evaluated individually, and the decision of the judges will be final,” the guidelines state.

The U.S. Sun has contacted Sony Pictures Television for clarification.

Fans were floored by the interaction, racing to Twitter to share their opinions.

Wheel of Fortune fans say show ‘won’t be the same without’ Pat Sajak as star’s fieriest one-liners compiled

HONORING PAT

Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak is in his final few episodes before retiring from the game show next month.

As he nears the end of his 43-year career on the program, fans have reflected on some of his funniest moments on camera.

Many noted his classic one-liners used when a contestant gets a puzzle wrong.

In a throwback clip shared on Instagram, a question had players guessing “fast-burning stove,” “food-burning stove,” and “hood-burning stove.”

Finally, a contestant said “wood-burning stove,” which was the correct answer, but the 77-year-old host said it was too late.

“We pretty much burned everything in sight,” he joked.

Another puzzle left participants guessing that they were riding a horse despite the fact that only an “N” was left on the board.

“That’s amazing, and it’s wrong!” Pat quipped.

When a second person also guessed something involving the same animal, the host shouted, “Who said anything about a horse?”

For the next category which focused on “things,” a clip caught a man guessing “whiners & hoes.”

Pat was quick to dismiss his idea, though he awarded another player the win when she guessed “fingers & toes.”

In a hilarious moment, the TV star told the man they were laughing with him, not at him.

The next category left both fans and the host in shock.

A player guessed, “A group of pill-pushers?” to which Pat yelled in reply, “This is Wheel of Fortune, Joel! Good night, everyone.”
