In the segment, the opponents are challenged to bid as close to the showcase’s value as possible without going over.

If the contestant’s bid is within a certain amount of the showcase’s retail price, they could win both showcases, which was the case for a young player named Alexandra.

The showcase included a massage chair, a hot tub, and a tropical getaway to the Seychelles.

After receiving help from her mother in the audience, Alexandra guessed the retail price was $22,500.

She nervously stood behind the podium, hands in prayer, as host Drew Carey, 66, revealed the correct retail price was $22,664.

WILD REACTION

The crowd cheered for Alexandra, who appeared in disbelief as she repeatedly asked Drew if she won.

Drew revealed Alexandra was a double showcase winner, given she had racked up over $250,000.

Alexandra’s mother then rushed to the stage and embraced her daughter, causing the pair to fall to the floor.

The Price is Right Hosts

The Price is Right first came on TV in 1972. Fans fell in love with the game show so much that it has been on for over 50 years. Throughout that time, the show has had a few different hosts. Find out who they are below.

Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)

Drew Carey – October 2007 to present

Dennis James – filled in for Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes, also hosted the nighttime version

Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools Day Special

Fans of The Price is Right regularly see wild behavior from the contestants, as their enthusiasm on the show is encouraged.

The CBS show originated with the late Bob Barker as host for over three decades before Drew replaced him in 2007.

Last month, Drew became the longest-serving host of a game show currently airing after Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak retired.

‘I CAN’T IMAGINE GIVING IT UP’

The Drew Carey Show alum discussed the milestone in an interview with TV Insider.

“I just show up and punch the clock and hope I have a job every day,” the actor said.

“I do have a goal: I want to keep going until I die. This is my 18th season. I’ve got to get the 35 and 41 so I can catch Bob Barker and Pat Sajak,” Drew revealed.

“The longest I’d been on TV was The Drew Carey Show, nine years. Once I hit 10 years here, I was like, ‘Wow, that’s the longest I’ve ever had a job in my life,’” the comic continued.

“It’s such just a great part of my day, my year, my life. I can’t imagine giving it up.

“I don’t like CBS to know that, but it’s going to be a few years ’til my next contract negotiation. So maybe forget I said this.

“I can quit anytime I want!” he added.
