A CONTESTANT on The Price is Right was quick to celebrate her win, only to backtrack her victory dance moments later.
The eager participant swiftly ran off the stage and back to her podium as another contestant claimed their win.
Contestant Michelle and three others went head-to-head to try and guess the correct price of a swanky refrigerator Thursday night.
The Price is Right contestant was the last to give in her bid, guessing $2,401 — just $1 over the third bidder’s entry.
When host Drew Carey revealed the “actual price is $2,699,” Michelle ran to celebrate her victory before realizing she wasn’t the closest guess.
After noticing her mistake, Michelle made her way back to the podium as John, who guessed $2,512, took his spot next to Drew.
Regardless of her loss, the ecstatic participant gave John a high five for his winning answer.
SHOW’S SECRETS
Though fans get to see moments like Michelle’s happen so often, a former contestant revealed secrets about the famed game show.
In an exclusive interview with The U.S. Sun, Maria Fitzsimons – who attended the show in 2013 with her friend, Jill Slattery – shared some little-known tidbits about the show.
She said that each contestant has to be interviewed beforehand.

“The producers go down the line and look you right in the eye and ask you questions,” Maria revealed.
She went on to say the process took about an hour to complete “before we made it into the building.”

Maria also shared that contestants aren’t chosen randomly.
“Nothing is by chance. Everyone is interviewed and they pick from those interviews,” she revealed.
“They make it seem random, but it’s not. And I think that’s why the show has done so well.”
DREW’S ALL IN
While Drew Carey challenges hundreds of new contestants weekly, the longtime host has revealed his intentions for his future on the show.
In an interview with TV Insider, Drew discussed retirement.
The Price is Right Hosts

The Price is Right first came on TV in 1972. Fans fell in love with the game show so much that it has been on for over 50 years. Throughout that time, the show has had a few different hosts. Find out who they are below.
Bob Barker – 1972 to June 2007 (also became executive producer in 1988)
Drew Carey – October 2007 to present
Dennis James – filled in for Bob in 1974 when he missed four episodes and also hosted the nighttime version
Craig Ferguson – 2014 April Fools Day Special
“I just show up and punch the clock and hope I have a job every day,” he said.
“I do have a goal: I want to keep going until I die.
“This is my 18th season. I’ve got to get the 35 and 41 so I can catch Bob Barker and Pat Sajak.”
He went on to say that if he wanted to go, the choice is his own.
“It’s such just a great part of my day, my year, my life. I can’t imagine giving it up,” he said.
“I don’t like CBS to know that, but it’s going to be a few years ’til my next contract negotiation. So maybe forget I said this.
“I can quit anytime I want!”
Drew has hosted the show since 2007 and is famously known for his sitcom The Drew Carey Show and improv comedy show Whose Line Is It Anyway?
