SURVIVOR star Drew Basile has revealed he will compete on Jeopardy! in a few weeks.
Drew, who appeared on season 45 of Survivor last year, left fans baffled when he shared photos of himself with Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings.
The 23-year-old posted snaps with Ken on the set of the popular game show on Instagram on Tuesday.
“I’M ON JEOPARDY!!! Airing June 19,” he captioned it.
“The haters have called me a know-it-all. It’s time to prove them right.”
Drew is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he studied English and Philosophy.
The Philadelphia native came sixth on Survivor, leaving the show one week before the final in December.
While many fans praised his upcoming appearance on Jeopardy!, some were confused by how he managed the crossover.
“Drew competed on Survivor’s 45th season this past fall, placing 6th,” one wrote on Reddit.
“This is super exciting for me, somebody who considers themselves both a superfan of Survivor and Jeopardy, and I am excited to see how he does!
Ken Jennings mocked for using ‘ridiculous’ accent during ‘tense’ Jeopardy! game
“I hope there are other Survivor fans here who are excited as well.”
“You cannot be serious. People wait their whole lifetimes to get on either of these shows and he got onto both in one year. Bros stealing my dream,” another commented.

One suggested that a casting agent of former Survivor contestant may have helped to “fast track” Drew onto Jeopardy!
“A lot of these shows have mutual friends in casting departments, and a ton of people who make it onto Survivor were referred by production members or former players,” they posted.
“I’m sure he was an already viable applicant who got fast-tracked here.”
“Good for him, but dude was pretty full of himself on Survivor. Called himself one of the smartest to ever play the game,” someone else claimed.
“Which, maybe he is, but something about labeling yourself that way is kinda off-putting.”
“Yeah I found him kinda arrogant on the show,” another user agreed.
Jeopardy! Host Timeline

Jeopardy! has had a tumultuous history regarding hosts after the death of the iconic Alex Trebek in 2020. Here are all of the hosts since the game show’s inception in 1964.
Art Fleming – 1964 to 1975, he was the original host of the daytime version of Jeopardy! on NBC.
Alex Trebek – 1984 to 2020, the late, great Alex hosted Jeopardy!’s modern iteration for 36 years until his death from pancreatic cancer.
Guest hosts – 2020 to 2021, Jeopardy! tested out a series of guest hosts for week or two-week stints, including Anderson Cooper, LaVar Burton, and Aaron Rodgers.
Mike Richards – 2021, he was named host for one week before resigning amid controversy. He was the show’s executive producer at the time.
Mayim Bialik – 2021 to 2023, when Mike was announced as the show’s new host, Mayim was chosen to host tournaments and primetime specials.
Mayim and Ken Jennings – 2022 to 2023, 74-time champion Ken (the longest-winning contestant ever) joined Mayim as a guest host and they split hosting duties.
Ken Jennings – 2023 to present. Last December, Mayim announced on Instagram that she would “no longer” host Jeopardy! after a lengthy hiatus, having stood with the writer’s strike, and Ken was named sole host.
Ken now helms all editions of Jeopardy! including Celebrity Jeopardy!, the nightly show, and other primetime specials like Masters.
Drew praised his intellect in an interview shortly after being booted off Survivor.
“I’m one of the smartest people you’ve ever had on Survivor. Now, I don’t say that to brag. I say that factually,” he told Parade.
“I’m a great talker. I can sell, sell, sell. So I thought that those attributes would set me up pretty well in any Final Three combinations.”
He also addressed a deleted scene that was aired which showed him seeming grumpy around the island.
“Emotionally I was pretty down by the end of the game. A lot of it was lack of food. But then I was also really nervous about my position,” he admitted.
“I was feeling a little left out, and I was feeling that things outside my control had changed that were affecting me for the worse, and it really shifted my mentality.”
