The Tripp family competed against the Childres family on the episode.

The Childres family was up first, guessing “women/wives,” “millions,” “TV shows,” “kids,” “grandchildren,” and “haircuts.”

Grandkids, millions, and haircuts were not on the board, and the game was passed on to the Tripp family.

They guessed “houses,” which wasn’t on the board.

Steve, 67, then began revealing the answers that were listed that hadn’t been guessed.

First was “hands,” followed by “bloopers and mistakes.”

The latter response stopped the TV personality in his tracks.

A member of the Childres family yelled, “Shade,” as Steve stared directly into the camera while saying nothing.

“Oh, OK,” he said, shaking his head in disbelief.

RUN AWAY PLAYER

Steve is known to speak his mind and have fun with players on Family Feud.

Recently, he had a laugh with a contestant after she messed up majorly.

Earlier this week the Wood and Parven families were competing, with Michelle Parven taking the stage next to Steve at one point during the episode.

She was asked a series of rapid-fire questions on the show, delivering all her answers before the game show host checked to see which were right and how much they were worth.

Before they could confirm her responses, however, Michelle walked back to where the rest of her family was standing.

Steve froze where he was, his face blank, and his arm up where Michelle was supposed to be.

Her family shouted, trying to correct course and get her back to her spot.

Michelle giggled as she returned to the right place on stage.

The audience erupted into laughter and applause.

“Sorry,” Michelle said, holding in her laughter.

Steve kept a stern look on his face.

“You just walk off when you want to,” he joked.

SURVEY SHOCKER

While Steve is often stunned by the responses he gets from players, he’s even more caught off guard when they’re right.

During a June 22 episode of Family Feud, he asked contestants to name something bars should give to drunk customers for free.

“More alcohol,” a player named Cedric suggested.

Steve stared blankly at the contestant for a few seconds, even setting down his flash cards briefly.

Eventually, he turned to the board and said, “Give ’em some more alcohol!”

He was shocked to see that the answer was correct.

Cedric’s response was the third answer on the board, giving his team six additional points.

The first answer was “Food & Water” which was worth 42 points.

The second answer was “Ride Home,” also worth 42 points.

Cedric celebrated his victory by high-fiving the rest of his teammates, leaving a single answer on board up for grabs.

The Forbes family couldn’t guess the remaining answer on the board, allowing the opposing team a shot at answering.

The Ham family also incorrectly guessed, moving the game into a sudden death round.
