PAT Sajak has admitted how he really feels about his final week on Wheel of Fortune.

The host jokes that he “wants to sit down” during a fan interaction on the game show.

On Monday’s episode, Pat, 77, began the episode like he always does – talking to the contestants and asking them about their lives.

Joyce was a teacher, but has always had the dream of being a stand-up comedian.

“I want to be a stand-up comedian and follow your career,” she admitted.

“Oh ok. Except I’m ready to sit down actually,” Pat joked.

Wheel of Fortune fans ‘unimpressed’ with Ryan as Pat’s replacement

The host laughed before moving on to ask the next contestant questions.

Pat is known for his sarcasm and humor on Wheel of Fortune.

‘SAD WEEK’

After last night’s episode, fans started to get emotional knowing this is Pat’s last week.

They left well wishes for the host on X, formerly Twitter, as many of them were in tears over him leaving.

“This is a sad week. Is @patonwheel REALLY leaving? He’s the last of a rare breed of GSH’s who understood the art of hosting. Don’t know what I’ll watch at 7:30p. Farewell Pat. #WheelofFortune,” one fan wrote.

“I’m sad y’all, this is the last week of #WheelOfFortune with Pat Sajak. I’ll miss watching him for sure…” said another.

“Pat will 100% be missed on #WheelOfFortune #irreplaceable,” said another fan.

“Saying goodbye to Pat Sajak on Wheel of Fortune brings a flood of memories from childhood to my dad’s final days. Thank you for the memories! #WheelOfFortune,” a fan cried.

Pat also revealed his plans for retirement on Monday morning before his final week.

Wheel of Fortune Host Timeline

Although Pat and Vanna have been a staple on the game show for decades, there have been other hosts

Chuck Woolery was the host from 1975 to 1981

He co-hosted alongside Susan Stafford (1975 to 1982)

Vanna White then stepped in as hostess in 1982 and has been ever since

After a contract and salary dispute, the show got rid of Chuck and brought in Pat in 1982

Pat hosted with Susan for one season

He then left the game show in 1989 to host a late-night talk show for CBS

For five months, NFL player Rolf Benirschke took his place

In July 1989, Bob Goen hosted the show on CBS

He hosted for a year and a half until the show was canceled in 1991

The show was then moved to ABC with Pat and Vanna hosting for the foreseeable future

In 2023, Pat announced his retirement and Ryan Seacrest as quickly named as his replacement

He sat down with his daughter, Maggie, 29, for an exclusive interview with Good Morning America.

Pat discussed how he felt about his time on Wheel coming to an end and what he plans to do with all of his free time.

While is is open to new projects, the host is “looking forward to the simple life.”

“I’m perfectly happy if it just means that I’ll continue with my crossword puzzles and play with grandchildren. Hint hint hint,” Pat said.

Pat told his daughter “No pressure” as she laughed.

He is the father to Maggie and his son, Patrick, who he shares with his wife, Lesly Brown.

Neither of his children have kids of their own yet.

Maggie is currently dating actor Ross McCall, 48.

Pat’s final week on Wheel is airing this week every night at 7:30 pm on ABC.

His final show will take place on Friday, June 7.

Ryan Seacrest will take over for Pat starting in the fall.
