JEOPARDY! champ Amy Hummel has jolted show staff with a surprising piece of trivia about herself in a new video.

The Milwaukee ER Doctor was defeated on Wednesday after five wins and $100,994 total.

Amy is the second streaker this season, following five-day champ Alison Betts and a seemingly endless series of tournaments.

Fans were buzzing over the calm, collected doctor in residence at Jeopardy! who wound up tied with Alison at five victories each.

Unfortunately, Amy lost on Wednesday, so her streak is no longer.

But both players will be in the show’s next Tournament of Champions, Jeopardy!’s most treasured annual event.

However, the ToC is something that Amy has apparently never watched.

‘I’LL GO BACK AND WATCH’

Amy joined producer Sarah Foss to celebrate her fifth win with a post-game chat.

“I don’t think it’s real,” she told Foss about her winning streak.

Foss chimed in, “I heard Ken ask you, ‘Have you seen the Tournament of Champions? and you said ‘No.’”

“I mean, you’ve obviously been busy. You’re an ER doctor,” the producer, who looked astonished, added.

Amy replied, “I’ll probably go back and watch some prior Tournament of Champions.

She added on how she’ll prep, “And keep doing what I’ll do, which was a 300,000 flashcard deck.”

“My big dream was to win one game but honestly just thrilled to be here and have it work out that I could come.”

“This was not on the table whatsoever.”

Foss admitted Sarah looked “calm- another day at the office for an ER doctor” but was panicked behind it all.

“That’s exactly what happened,” Amy said.

She added a “large chunk” of her $100,000 will be going to her “student loan balance.”

THE DOCTOR IS OUT

Amy lost against Weckiai Rannila and Nils Cousin and after two big Daily Double misses.

Things got dicey on the last Daily Double when she wagered her remaining $4200 under “OLOGIES.”

The clue read, “Remove 2 letters from the study of weather to get this, the study of weights & measures.”

With a perplexed expression, Amy responded with what sounded like “What is meterology?” according to J-Archive – breaking up the syllables.

“I’m sorry, no,” Ken Jennings ruled. “You needed to get rid of the ‘e’ and the ‘o’ to make ‘Metrology.’”

“Okay,” she said under her breath, repeating the desired answer, “Metrology.”

“You were very close, but no,” Ken admitted, dropping her to $0.

From there, Amy could not recover, and Weckiai became the new champ with a stunned expression and $9999.

A social media storm brewed where fans debated the Daily Double that did Amy in – and if she was wrong enough to have been ruled incorrect.

The issue was she clearly didn’t say the desired “metrology,” the science of measurement, in full, nor did she say “meteorology,” as in weather- either.

“Certainly gonna be some level of mild controversy about DD3 & the pronunciation of “metrology”,” one Redditor wrote.

“I thought Amy said it, but with emphasis on the ‘me,’ which, given that it’s a word I’ve never heard before (and presumably Amy as well), I would’ve thought there’d be some leniency.”

“It didn’t sound like she said ‘meterology’ (as the archive has transcribed it), but I can kinda hear the second E? Bit of a hard ruling to make,” wrote another.

They added that if Ken had ruled the other way, “She would’ve had been first going into Final, which… who knows? Kind of a lame way to go out, though.”

“Brutal DD3 miss, but she’ll be back for the ToC!” wrote one more.

Jeopardy! champ Amy Hummel’s lifesaving job as she racks up wins on show

INTENSE JOB!

Amy’s winning streak began last week and she batted 88% on correct responses and went four out of six on Final Jeopardy.

Fans were critical of her slow style of gameplay, which has left some boards incomplete (including that game with four clues untouched).

“Watching Amy play is like watching the show in slow motion. #Jeopardy” one X user recently wrote.

“I like Amy but she is a slow clue-picker. Painfully slow,” wrote another.

Dr. Hummel is an emergency medicine physician in Madison, Wisconsin, according to US News Health.

It sounds like her job in which she works at “eight” different hospitals may explain why she’s so calm on stage.

She received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and has practiced for nearly five years.

Her specialty is emergency medicine which entails having to, “rapidly assess and treat patients with catastrophic injuries.”

“Common reasons to visit emergency rooms include heart attack, drug overdose, shock, burns and massive bleeding.”
