TOM Holland dropped a major hint that he was set to propose to Zendaya a month ago.
The A-list pair reportedly got engaged between Christmas and New Year’s in one of Zendaya’s family homes in the US.
Tom popped the question in a romantic and intimate setting, sources told TMZ.
The outlet reported the moment was just between the two stars, with no family around to see.
The English actor reportedly asked Zendaya’s dad, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, for his blessing months before the proposal but waited until the time was right to get down on one knee.
Tom appeared on Nick Grimshaw‘s Dish Podcast last month as he revealed that he was spending Christmas with Zendaya‘s family.
He then shared that he’d planned a surprise trip somewhere “secret” for them.
Tom told Nick: “I’m going to be in America this year, I’m going to be with my girlfriend’s family, which will be fun.
“Where we’ll be will be a secret. I’ll know where we’re going.”
Tom also said he wanted start a new tradition to bring his and Zendaya’s families together at Christmas going forward.
“This year will be great,” Tom went on to say.
Nick asked if there was a hard and fast rule with how they decide which family to spend Christmas with.

Tom said: “What we’d like to start doing, is rather than spending it with each family each year, is bring the families together.
“That’s what I think we want to do next time.
“Because we’re both actors, we’re terrible at organising things, so it hasn’t happened yet.
“The thoughts there, the idea has been planted.”
Many have since commented on the clip since the engagement news and pointed out that fans failed to spot Tom’s big clue.
One wrote: “To think that He had this planned for who knows how long.”
A second posted: “Bring the families together,” with a string of crying emoji faces.
A third said: “Combining families in the future It sounds like a playful or intense declaration!”
This person gushed: “Him saying ‘I wanna see if we combine families next year’ is so insane.”
“That’s very sweet. I love the bring everyone together idea,” another added.
The pair haven’t started planning the wedding yet and aren’t in a rush to do so, TMZ reported.
The lowkey engagement is in line with the couple’s relaxed style.
They’ve kept their relationship private after they were confirmed to be dating in 2021.
Fans were quick to notice Zendaya’s massive diamond ring on the Globes red carpet, which she attended without Holland.
Holland shared earlier this week that he prefers not to attend red carpets with the actress so she can have the spotlight.
“Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us,” Holland said in an interview with Men’s Health.
Zendaya was wearing all Bulgari jewels on the Golden Globes red carpet as she celebrated nominations for Dune: Part Two and Challengers.
But fans noticed her ring finger wasn’t accessorized with Bulgari – fueling speculation that Holland popped the question.
Eagle-eyed fans also spotted what appeared to be a tiny tattoo of a lowercase t on her ribcage, which many suspected could stand for Tom.
The suspected tattoo comes as a surprise to fans because Zendaya previously said she didn’t plan on getting any ink.
“I love tattoos. But I don’t want any,” she told Allure in 2020.
QUIET RELATIONSHIP BEGINNINGS
The pair first met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016.
After years of speculation about their relationship, the pair finally confirmed their romance in 2021 after they were photographed kissing in Los Angeles.
While the couple has kept their relationship mostly under wraps, Holland opened up about Zendaya’s support during his sobriety journey in October.
He said throughout his nearly three-year journey away from alcohol, Zendaya showed an “overwhelming sense of support.”
“I realized who my real friends were,” Tom told Michael Strahan.
“And getting an overwhelming sense of support from them and enjoying a nightlife experience with them without the pressure of having a drink was a beautiful experience.”
He also shared a piece of advice his dad gave him for when he one day has kids of his own.
“I think one of my dad’s best pieces of advice for me in the future when I one day become a dad is don’t be friends with your kids,” Holland added.
“Your job is to parent your kids. You could be friendly, but don’t be friends with your kids.”
Zendaya and Holland are both set to star in a Christopher Nolan movie slated for 2026.
