A source close to the couple said ‘things are not great right now’ between the pair

SYDNEY Sweeney has reportedly called off her wedding to fiance Jonathan Davino.

The American actress, 27, was due to marry the businessman, 41, this spring but “major issues” got in the way, sources say.

“Sydney and Jonathan have been having major issues but are not fully split,” an insider told Us Weekly.

They added: “Things are not great right now, but they aren’t throwing in the towel yet.

“They are working on their relationship but have called off the wedding for now.”

The pair were meant to tie the knot in Chicago this spring, the source said, but plans are now on hold.

“The wedding is not happening, and they aren’t having further discussions about it,” they added.

According to the insider, Sydney “wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress”.

Discussing the couple’s issues, the insider revealed a lot of their relationship problems stem from Sydney being “extremely busy with work commitments”.

Sydney and Jonathan met in 2018 and got engaged in February 2022.

The smitten duo produce films together, including last year’s summer smash hit Anyone but You.

‘PRODUCING PARTNER’

Sydney, who stars in Euphoria, previously branded her future husband her “producing partner” and said it’s great to work with someone who knows her well.

The pair were said to be planning a small and intimate wedding in Chicago.

Speaking to Glamour Magazine previously about her wedding plans, Sydney said: “What girl doesn’t create a Pinterest board for their wedding?

“I started making that when I was like 10. I don’t have a color scheme yet.

“I’m more of an experience planner, so I’m like, ‘What experience do I want to give people? Are we going on a tropical vacation? Are we doing a carnival?’.”

PACKING ON PDA

At the start of the year, Sydney shared a selection of snaps from her New Year celebrations.

In one of them, she could be seen kissing Jonathan passionately, presumably on New Year’s Eve.

Rocking jeans and a black top, Sydney was being embraced by her man as he supported her back and tilted her backwards.

With their eyes tightly shut as they locked lips, Jonathan planted a huge kiss on Sydney’s mouth as the pair snogged for the camera.

Some fans were late to the engagement party and rather shocked to spot a ring on Sydney’s ring finger.

“Wait THE RING,” penned one person.

“Do I spy an engagement ring?!?” asked a second.
