He was arrested on March 28, 2024 in Florida 13 months after Illinois authorities issued a warrant out for his arrest.

Smith was charged with traveling to meet a minor for a sexual encounter, grooming, disseminating harmful material and fleeing police.

The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal he was sentenced to 30 months in prison for the traveling to meet a minor for a sexual encounter charge.

He was not prosecuted for the other charges.

Smith is serving time in an Illinois prison and has a release date of December 28, 2025.

He is eligible for parole on June 27, 2025.

In Smith’s new mugshot, he appeared smug as he flashed a smirk for the camera.

Smith had a full beard in the mugshot, a contrast to his more clean-cut appearance on the MTV series.

SHOCK ARREST

People reported the arrest came after an alleged February 9, 2023 incident where Smith made plans to meet with a 15-year-old girl for sex.

The girl was actually an undercover officer.

A media release from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office read, “For the past several weeks, Connor N. Smith was communicating with an undercover detective online [who] was posing as a girl under the age of 15.

“During the conversations, Smith sent ‘the child’ sexually explicit images and videos of himself. Smith then made arrangements to meet the ‘girl’ for a sexual encounter.

“Smith drove to meet the girl to engage in a sexual encounter with her. When Smith arrived, detectives moved in to apprehend him. Smith, however, was able to escape and fled in his vehicle.”

He was held on $1 million bond after his arrest.

MORE LEGAL TROUBLE

Smith was previously arrested in December 2021 for allegedly assaulting a teenage girl in a separate incident.

By September 2022, all charges against him were dropped after the alleged victim stopped cooperating with law enforcement.

TIME ON REALITY TV

Smith starred on season 3 of MTV’s Are You The One in 2015.

Smith found his perfect match, Chelsey Perkins, during week five of filming.

Despite being each other’s perfect match, they did not pursue a romantic relationship when filming wrapped up.

On the dating show Are You the One?, Smith’s costars included Teen Mom: The Next Chapter star Cheyenne Floyd, as well as The Challenge stars Devin Walker, Amanda Garcia and Nelson Thomas.

His MTV bio described the 6ft 8in reality star as a “gentle giant” who was looking to find his soulmate.
