POP sensation Sabrina Carpenter has delighted fans with an extended version of her chart-topping album Short N’ Sweet, featuring none other than country music legend Dolly Parton.
The Espresso hitmaker, who first released the record back in August, couldn’t contain her excitement as she shared the news on social media.
Posting their new video of Please Please Please, she said: “Yes, that does say featuring Miss Dolly Parton… she wouldn’t want me to swear but holy s**t!!!!”
The deluxe edition includes four brand-new tracks: Busy Woman, Bad Reviews, 15 Minutes, and Couldn’t Make It Any Harder, along with a highly anticipated collaboration with Parton on Please Please Please.
The track, which became Disney star Sabrina’s first Billboard Hot 100 No.1, has now been re-released with the country icon’s signature touch.
To mark the occasion, Sabrina, 25, and Dolly, 79, filmed a striking black-and-white music video for the song.
The stripped-back video sees the pair driving together, with Sabrina behind the wheel and Parton seated beside her reading the paper before they stop for a cigarette.
MUSIC ICON
Dolly Parton is one of the most influential country musicians of all time, boasting a career spanning over six decades.
Known for timeless hits like Jolene, 9 to 5, and I Will Always Love You, she has won multiple Grammy Awards and is an inductee of the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Speaking about working with her, Sabrina said: “Dolly and me singing in a pick-up truck!!!!!!
“I am so honored to have one of my biggest idols on a song that means so much to me.
“Short n’ Sweet deluxe is out now! Go watch and listen!!!! Love you forever Dolly.”
SABRINA’S RISE
Sabrina’s career has skyrocketed in recent months.
She first gained fame as the lead in Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World (2014–2017) before transitioning into music, releasing her debut single Can’t Blame a Girl for Trying in 2014.
After four albums with Hollywood Records, she moved to Island Records in 2021, releasing Emails I Can’t Send, which featured hits like Nonsense and Feather.
Her latest album, Short N’ Sweet, cemented her status as a global pop powerhouse, earning her six Grammy nominations at the 2025 awards.
While she lost Song of the Year to Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us, she did take home trophies for Best Pop Solo Performance (Espresso) and Best Pop Vocal Album (Short N’ Sweet).
After wrapping up the North American leg of her Short N’ Sweet tour, Carpenter is now preparing to take the show to the UK and Europe, kicking off on March 3 in Dublin, Ireland.
