RITA Ora has opened up about her marriage to Taika Waititi.

The I Will Never Let You Down singer, 34, says the relationship works as at times they feel more like best friends than husband and wife.

Opening up to Hunger magazine, the chart-topper said: “Taika and I are basically just best friends and we wanted to just live in that element for ever, I guess.”

The couple tied the knot in August 2022 in a very small outdoor wedding in Los Angeles.

But ever the work-a-holic the next morning she was back in the studio penning the title track of her third album You and I.

Rita, who has just finished filming Prime film Voltron, is now deep into recording her fourth album with new music on the horizon.

Speaking backstage at Mighty Hoopla Festival last summer, Rita told The Sun: “The album is going really well.

“I’m taking it just one song at a time to be honest.

“I’m not sure it will be ready for this year though. But the great thing about my label {BMG] is that I have the time and they are really chill like that.”

Keen not to pigeonhole herself, Rita is keen to follow in the footsteps of her idol J Lo and do everything from film and TV to music and fashion.

Speaking to Hunger magazine, Rita said: “I love doing multiple things. It keeps me alive.

“It keeps me excited. It challenges me.

“We are our own people and we get to choose how and when we want to be the way we want to be… It’s natural, you know — we’ve grown up naming and labelling things, like that’s an apple or that’s a pear or whatever.

“But I really want to feel like there’s no label. That was always my dream — to just exist in art and entertainment.”

She added to the glossy: ““This is who I am and this is what I love doing.. I’m just very excited for the future— there really are no limits.”
