KACEY Musgraves has hit a bum note during a duet performance with Sabrina Carpenter at a California music festival.

Sabrina was performing at the Outside Lands music festival in San Francisco when she surprised fans by bringing Kacey on-stage for a rendition of Nancy Sinatra’s hit These Boots Are Made For Walking.

However, fans on X were less than impressed with Kacey’s portion of the iconic 1966 anthem.

“Sabrina kinda ate Kacey up in this performance,” one person wrote.

“What is this out of key singing?” another user commented.

“Kacey sounds kinda… bad,” a third comment read.

Introducing Kacey as her special guest, the Espresso hitmaker told the crowd, “She won’t come out unless you’re very loud.”

Once the Deeper Well singer arrived, Sabrina remarked, “We look so good, oh my god!

“Should we sing our song?”

The duo then launched into their performance, with Sabrina also playing the tambourine.

Outside Lands marks Sabrina’s first time headlining a music festival after she replaced Tyler the Creator on the line-up in June 2024.

Tyler the Creator dropped out off both Lollapalooza and Outside Lands in June, announcing his decision with a cryptic post in June.

“I hate saying this but i have to cancel Lollapalooza and outside lands. I made a commitment that I can no longer keep, and that bums me out knowing how excited folks were,’ Tyler the Creator wrote on X.

During her set, Sabrina wore a sash that read, “I’m headlining b****.”

She also performed a medieval-inspired Nonsense outro, with the pop star reading a scroll that read, “Soon cometh my album so exciting / My heart doth pound beneath my breasts so mighty

“Outside Lands it’s like thou art inside me.”

Since then, Sabrina and Barry have been repeatedly documented going on dates and nights together.

In March 2024, Barry was seen cheering on Sabrina during her set when she opened for Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour in Singapore.

After her set, Sabrina was seen running off stage and into Barry’s arms in the crowd.

The two were also seen standing shoulder-to-shoulder when Taylor took to the stage.

A month later, Barry was spotted supporting Sabrina once more during her Coachella set.

Fresh off the success of Espresso, Sabrina announced her sixth studio album Short ‘n’ Sweet will be released on August 23.

Writing on Instagram on June 3, Sabrina added, “This project is quite special to me and I hope it’ll be something special to you too.”

Days later, she unveiled Please Please Please, the album’s second single to be released after the smash-hit Espresso that dominated radio waves and Instagram Reels all summer.

The song was accompanied by a music video starring Sabrina’s boyfriend, the Saltburn actor Barry Keoghan – much to fans’ delight.

The release of Short ‘n’ Sweet will be supported by a massive North American arena tour this fall, with Sabrina kicking things off in Columbus, Ohio, on September 23.

Country music star Kacey announced her Deeper Well tour in February 2024, ahead of the album launch in March.

Deeper Well is the seven-time Grammy winner’s first release since the critically acclaimed 2021 album star-crossed.
