Bryan Freedman appeared on the February 17 episode of the Hot Mics With Billy Bush podcast to discuss the latest updates regarding the case, and even revealed what the ideal outcome would be for his 41-year-old client.

When Bush, 53, asked if Freedman had initially been open to ‘mediating’ with Lively’s legal team, he explained: ‘The question was asked about whether he would be willing to go to mediation and whether we were open to that, and our answer to that was, “no.”

‘We are not willing to do anything until Justin is cleared of being called a predator, a sexual harasser. Until that is determined to have not happened, we will be doing this,’ Freedman stated.

Former Today host Bush probed further and asked: ‘What is most important to Justin? The $400 million or some kind of financial settlement to make up for… has he lost work? Have people backed away from him for a future project?’

Freedman replied candidly, ‘A substantial amount of work,’ but didn’t elaborate on any specific projects.

When Bush asked if Baldoni is looking for a ‘full-blown apology from Blake,’ the lawyer – who has represented the likes of Robert Downey Jr and Mariah Carey in the past – replied: ‘I think he wants a determination, I know he wants a determination…

‘That he did not engage in the behavior that has been alleged, and that he did not engage in sexual harassment or create a smear campaign.

‘There have been some serious allegations levelled against him that he’s not making jokes about, that he’s not creating movies and other things where he makes a joke about his situation.’

Freedman then added: ‘What he wants his justice, he wants a chance to prove that he is a good person.’

He continued: ‘Justin is not disparaging anyone or going after anyone’s character or doing anything that is otherwise untoward.

‘And he’s given very clear instructions to me and the legal team to really be above board and to really treat people with respect and that’s what we’re trying to do within the search to show the court the truth and the truth of what happens.’

Before claiming ‘documents don’t lie, people do,’ Freedman also gave Bush an update on Baldoni’s current mental state.

‘I think he’s hopeful and I think he’s grateful, he’s grateful that he’s with his family,’ Freedman divulged, referring to the fact that Baldoni is currently on vacation with his wife and kids in Hawaii.

‘He’s grateful that he can be with his family and grateful that he could let other fire victims use his house, so it could come of some use,’ Freedman continued, referring to the Los Angeles wildfires.

‘But like anyone else who would be going through a situation where you’re accused of something that you did not do, and are suffering in a public way, I think it’s distressful to say the least.’

Bryan Freedman described father-of-two Justin as ‘a good person’ who ‘wants justice’

When Bush mentioned Lively’s appearance at Sunday’s SNL50: The Anniversary Special, where she posed for photos and sat in the audience with her husband Ryan Reynolds, Freedman did not hold back in his thoughts.

‘That seemed like that might be the latest move,’ he said of their attendance.

When Bush brought up Reynolds ‘making light’ of the ongoing legal drama during an exchange with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Freedman replied: ‘I’m unaware of anybody, frankly, whose wife has been sexually harassed and has made jokes about that type of situation.

‘I can’t think of anyone who’s done anything like that. So it surprised me,’ he added.
