ROCK band Heart has canceled their tour as the lead singer offers fans an update on her health condition.
Ann Wilson, 74, shared the major announcement about her wellbeing on Tuesday.
The musician revealed that she recently underwent surgery for cancer.
She shared that she will take the rest of the year off as a result of the procedure.
The lead singer made an Instagram post to reveal what she’s been going through and why the tour was canceled.
“Dear friends, I recently underwent an operation to remove something that, as it turns out, was cancerous,” she stated in the post.
“The operation was successful & I’m feeling great but my doctors are now advising me to undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy & I’ve decided to do it.”
The singer went on to explain that she’s receiving lots of advice from medical professionals who tell her she should take time to rest.
“And so many doctors are instructing me to take the rest of the year away from the stage in order to fully recover,” Ann confessed.
“To the ticket buyers, I really do wish we could do these gigs. Please know that I absolutely plan to be back on the stage in 2025.”
She assured her fans that her team is working on plans for her to be performing again soon.
Ann’s post said that the public will be informed of what her team’s plan is regarding how soon the rocker will be back on stage.
