Angel Reese and Rose BC Fire Back at ESPN’s Unrivaled Rankings Ahead of Tournament Tip-Off
UNRIVALED the fast pace of lexi hull shames angel reese - YouTube

Angel Reese is not letting any of her doubters slip off as she heads to the playoffs with her team, Rose BC, in the Unrivaled League. After a stellar performance against Laces BC, where she scored 16 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, Reese made time to blast ESPN’s Unrivaled team ranking.

In the closely contested matchup, Reese helped her team secure a playoff spot with a narrow 58-53 victory. With this win, Rose BC’s record improved to 7-5, placing them in second position in the league behind the Lunar Owls BC. However, after the win, Rose BC’s official social media account took a shot at ESPN’s Unrivaled ranking as they placed the team in sixth rank.

And the timing couldn’t be more perfect than right after securing a playoff berth. In addition to the team taking a dig at the broadcasting network for undervaluing Rose BC, Reese herself retweeted. She pointed at the widespread narrative of the team being highly active on TikTok and not performing well.

“The 6th place tik tok team,” Reese captioned her retweet.

Reese had an impressive rookie season in the WNBA with the Chicago Sky, and she looks as confident as she prepares for her second year. Selected seventh overall in the 2024 draft, she made a significant impact by leading the league in rebounds and earning All-Star honors. She’s averaging 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game.

On the 2021-22 Celtics and patience, rooting for Jerry Buss and more with Gary Gulman
Followers of the Boston Celtics who happen to also be fans of standup comedy are for the most part aware of popular comedian Gary Gulman’s love for the team he grew up watching as a native of Peabody, Massachusetts. And Gulman is also a fan of dropping in on Celtics-oriented podcasts while rightly advocating for patience with this up-and-coming roster. So the hosts of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast linked up with Gulman to talk about his prescient analysis of the 2021-22 Boston roster in our most recent episode, touching on everything from how he played the sport along with football in high school (and the latter in college at Boston University) to his outstanding standup and advocacy for mental health. We even get into the new HBO series “Winning Time” and his inside view of the series as it was developed via his own ties to the cast producing the Los Angeles Lakers-centric docu-series given its unignorable ties to the Celtics in the 1980s.  Join Cameron Tabatabaie, Alex Goldberg, and Justin Quinn for a fascinating talk about Boston sports now and past with one of our favorite comedians in this special edition of the Lab. CLPod 74: The Cs teams that never were, late summer moves & more
Two months out from the start of the regular season, and nearly half as long from camp, more than a few of us are starting to get antsy without basketball to watch. With that in mind, we decided it was time to dust off the microphones and record an episode of the CLPod to talk about the (very few) moves of note going down since the last time we recorded two weeks ago.And with the team in a liminal space between seasons, neither last season’s Celtics nor the next, Mark Allison and Justin Quinn got to thinking about all the different ways this timeline of Boston’s journey from one contending squad to the next could have gone differently. So, we put our heads together, and tried to imagine how the Cs might look if Danny Ainge had kept the last title team together longer, or if Brad Stevens had said no, or if Boston hadn’t signed Al Horford, or…well, you’ll have to listen to hear them all.So, if you’re as ready as we are for some real, live NBA games that count, you’re going to have to wait a while. But if you want some news and analysis on not just this timeline, but several others we don’t happen to be on, buckle up and listen to this week’s CLPod – we have at least another month of doldrums ahead of us, and a lot to be thankful for, if our thought experiments are as realistic as we think they are.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/celtics-lab-nba-basketball-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices. CLPod 53: Cs Stand Pat While The Cavs Make Moves, & #34 Gets Retired
The dust has finally settled after an active trade deadline, with the Cleveland Cavaliers making big moves while the Boston Celtics stood pat. Join Mark Allison and Justin Quinn as they make sense of all the (non) moves that went down last week, and their thoughts on another big event about to take place. That event, the Paul Pierce jersey retirement ceremony, converges with the new-look Cavaliers at the Garden this Sunday for a convenient coincidence allowing Danny Ainge and company to sidestep the awkwardness swirling around the Isaiah Thomas tribute video controversy most of us would like to forget. Justin and Mark also dive into the potential of the buyout market, IT’s new situation with the Los Angeles Lakers, and some of the potential longer-term implications of the moves made this week for Boston and the rest of the league. Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/celtics-lab-nba-basketball-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices. Angel Reese Wins Praise From Chelsea Gray For Her Unrivaled Growth

Angel Reese has been winning hearts during her time with Rose BC in the Unrivaled League this offseason. After an impressive rookie season with the Sky, Reese is clearly focused on refining her skills and addressing the areas in her game that need improvement.

The Chi Barbie recently won praise from her fellow star, Chelsea Gray, for her hard work and phenomenal performance. Gray noted that Reese’s dedication in practice and during games is paying off. She also pointed at the Sky star putting in extra time behind the scenes for perfect on-court success.

“She’s been putting extra time and putting extra work in. And it’s showing in some of these games. You could put a lot of work in and it still not go your way. But it’s the habits that create those moments and those opportunities. So when you’re put in that position, you take full advantage of it,” Gray said.

Reese made history on February 21 by delivering the first 20+ point, 20+ rebound game in Unrivaled history against the previously undefeated Lunar Owls BC. Following that performance, she continued to impress, contributing 16 points and 17 rebounds in her team’s win over Laces BC on March 3.
