The 2025 WNBA draft is just 34 days away, and officials still haven’t announced a location for the league-altering event.

As noted by, Alex Schiffer of Front Office Sports, the exact location and time for the Apr. 14 event are still listed as “TBD” on the WNBA website. Schiffer reached out to a league spokesperson for comment, and they told him it’ll be in New York.

The league still hasn’t made a full announcement, and the exact location and times for the WNBA draft remain a question. This is a giant surprise, considering that the league is wasting significant time marketing its special event.

As noted by Schiffer, the 2024 WNBA draft sold out at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Generational prospect Caitlin Clark went first overall to the Indiana Fever, and the draft averaged a record 2.4 million viewers, per Schiffer.

LSU Tigers star Angel Reese, selected No. 7 overall by the Chicago Sky, was another big-named prospect that contributed to the sky-high viewership numbers.

UConn Huskies superstar Paige Bueckers is the projected No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. The 23-year-old is averaging 19 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game over 32 contests.

Where are they now? Keeping tabs on players from the past with Honest Larry
The Boston Celtics can finally concentrate on finding the players on finishing their roster with the Kevin Durant trade request from the Brooklyn Nets rescinded, and in so doing will likely create some new alumni in the process by bringing on a few new players in place of the depth that they had in the 2021-22 NBA season. But where are the players from Boston’s past signing for this upcoming season? What teams and leagues are they signing with? Who is making the leap into coaching? Who are still waiting for the logjam that is KD that just broke to open up some spots for them to sign with a team in the Association? For this episode of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast, we decided to take a trip down memory lane to get ourselves up to speed on where the alumni of the Celtics are going to spend the upcoming season.  To do that we enlisted friend of the pod and unofficial team Twitter historian Honest Larry, who linked up with your usual hosts Cameron Tabatabaie, Alex Goldberg, and Justin Quinn to figure out where these blasts from Boston’s past hang their hats (and their jerseys) now. A deep dive into the deep rotation’s Stay Ready Crew with Noa Dalzell
The Boston Celtics have by most accounts the best top six players in the entire NBA to match their league-best regular season record. So, it can be easy to forget about the rest of the team. The so-called “Stay Ready Crew” mostly does just that — keep themselves in the right frame of mind and state of health in case their number is called. And those numbers do get called, with players like Oshae Brissett and Lamar Stevens bringing energy and matchup-dependent options that have sparked wins for Boston, while the sharpshooting duo of Payton Pritchard and Sam Hauser wreak havoc on opposing defenses. And if it were not for the likes of Luke Kornet and Neemias Queta defying expectations as reserve big men, you can be sure there would be less wins to the Celtics’ name this season. Which players matter most to the team’s title aspirations? Which might be on the move ahead of the 2024 NBA trade deadline? What talent does Boston have in the pipeline in Maine? And who will see the floor in the postseason? To answer all of these key questions not quite getting the attention they deserve, the hosts of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast linked up with Celtics Blog’s Noa Dalzell. The self-proclaimed Boston bench beat reporter who has a bead on a certain crew that stays ready, join us in a deep dive into the Celtics’ reserves. Talking about Boston’s contender status, KG’s jersey retirement and more with Jason Terry
As the Boston Celtics inch towards contender status with improved play on both ends of the court at the same time the Brooklyn Nets are trying to find enough health to compete for a title, the two teams could very well be on a postseason collision course. One that began almost a decade ago when a fateful trade sent Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Jason Terry to Brooklyn, and, given that it is just weeks before Garnett will have his Celtics jersey raised up to the rafters, we couldn’t think of a better person to talk about it with on the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast than the JET himself. In this episode, Cameron Tabatabaie and Justin Quinn are joined by Terry to talk about his time in Boston in their last era of contention, what it was like playing with KG, how he thinks of the Celtics and Nets’ short and medium-term futures, what’s keeping him busy these days and plenty more. This was a very fun pod that even has a Big Ticket in a helicopter story, so be sure to check it out. The 2024 WNBA season saw a massive 48 percent increase in viewership, thanks largely to the “Caitlin Clark effect.” With Clark cementing herself as one of the league’s premier superstars, the league should enjoy yet another surge in attendance and TV ratings in 2025.

The Dallas Wings were the lucky winners of the WNBA Draft following a disappointing 9-31 finish in 2024. They now have the opportunity to take a franchise-changing star in Paige Bueckers, who would join a promising core led by four-time All-Star Arike Ogunbowale and Teaira McCowan.
