Tua Tagovailoa is certainly having a good time during the offseason, but he may be having too good of a time.

Coming off an injury-riddled 2024 campaign in which he played in only 10 games, the Miami Dolphins quarterback has certainly not taken the time to work out much.

This week, the Dolphins quarterback is catching quite the backlash after footage surfaced of him on a yacht while with family and friends.

Tagovailoa could visibly be seen in the background, sporting a noticeable beer belly.

You can check out the video here.

What’s true, false, or too soon to tell about early-season Boston Celtics trends with Chris Forsberg
With a total of about 15 games played by most teams in the NBA at this point in the 2022-23 season, we have enough data to be able to say some things about the league, the Boston Celtics, and their players. What we are seeing on the court may not be who they are at the end of the season, but we can at least make some educated guesses. Which weird starts from teams are real? Is Boston’s offense the real deal? Can the Celtics defend like they did last season? Will Joe Mazzulla’s performance earn him a non-interim status upgrade this season? Could Marcus Smart repeat as Defensive Player of the Year, and could Jayson Tatum really win this year’s Most Valuable Player award? The hosts of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast teamed up with NBC Sports Boston’s Chris Forsberg to try and figure out what’s real, what’s fake, and what’s too soon to tell about the trends we-re seeing early this season. Join your usual hosts Alex Goldberg, Cameron Tabatabaie, and Justin Quinn as the foursome dives into what we are seeing in the early going of this season. CLAB 30: Un-[expletive]ing the Celtics’ vibe with the Riffsman
Before the Boston Celtics got back in the win column against the Denver Nuggets Tuesday night, it’s probably safe to say emotions surrounding the Celtics internally and among their fans were at a nadir for the season. With a .500 record and embarrassing losses driven in part by players the Celtics could have drafted, rumbles of ire and fingers of blame abounded. But a voice of reason emerged from the wilderness to help us at the Celtics Lab podcast in the form of the so-called “godfather of Weird Celtics Twitter” The Riffsman. If you know him, this is an episode you don’t want to miss as he guides back from the darkside in a most prescient manner. And if you don’t, stick around for the in-depth conversation on how to un-[expletive] the Celtics vibes, Bill Russell’s humanitarianism, and who might click with Boston’s big traded player exception. Join hosts Alex Goldberg and Cam Tabatabaie for an unbuttoned Lab, only made better by the Riffsman calling it like it is. Where are they now? Keeping tabs on players from the past with Honest Larry
The Boston Celtics can finally concentrate on finding the players on finishing their roster with the Kevin Durant trade request from the Brooklyn Nets rescinded, and in so doing will likely create some new alumni in the process by bringing on a few new players in place of the depth that they had in the 2021-22 NBA season. But where are the players from Boston’s past signing for this upcoming season? What teams and leagues are they signing with? Who is making the leap into coaching? Who are still waiting for the logjam that is KD that just broke to open up some spots for them to sign with a team in the Association? For this episode of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast, we decided to take a trip down memory lane to get ourselves up to speed on where the alumni of the Celtics are going to spend the upcoming season.  To do that we enlisted friend of the pod and unofficial team Twitter historian Honest Larry, who linked up with your usual hosts Cameron Tabatabaie, Alex Goldberg, and Justin Quinn to figure out where these blasts from Boston’s past hang their hats (and their jerseys) now. Celtics mystique, Showtime Lakers, frustrating starts with Anthony Irwin
The rivalry between the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers is one of the oldest and most celebrated in all of sport, and for good reason. Somehow, nearly seven decades into the heated competition for dominance in greatness between the two storied franchise, the tally remains at a tie after the Lakers’ most recent title, with each club now at 17 titles each. This Friday, Nov. 19, the two teams will meet again on the Celtics’ home court of TD Garden, but this time around the two teams will not exactly be arriving at the tilt in the best of shape in terms of records, with each club struggling a bit early in the 2021-22 NBA season. On this episode of the CLNS Media podcast “Celtics Lab,” your usual hosts of Cameron Tabatabaie, Alex Goldberg, and Justin Quinn are joined by special guest Anthony Irwin of Silver Screen and Roll and the “Locked on Lakers” podcast to talk about what’s behind each club’s slow start, and what we can expect to see Friday among several other topics.  If you’re of the ilk with tribalistic hatred for all things purple and gold, this might not be the pod for you, but if you want an honest look at both clubs as they are this season, hit play on the clip embedded above. “I love Tua but some things are not a good look. Skinny arms and a belly for an NFL QB. When does off-season weight training start? There is a reason Brady was so good for so long, complete dedication and disipline. Tua is 27 and he’s got a 40 yr old dad body,” one fan said.

“Better get back in shape and lose that beer gut,” a second fan said of Tua Tagovailoa.

“Keep gaining weight, lol,” a third fan stated.

“Looks like he’s been sitting on the couch eating chips!!” a fourth person commented.

One final fan added: “Another 9-8 season loading.”

Tua Tagovailoa and Mike McDaniel will be down a player in offense and special teams after wide receiver Braxton Berrios left the team to sign a one-year, $2 million contract with the Texans for the 2025 NFL season.

Berrios spent 2023 and 2024 with McDaniel and Tagovailoa in Miami. Last year, he averaged 25.3 yards per return and 14.7 yards per punt return before tearing his ACL in Week 7 of the 2024 NFL season.

Due to Tua’s noted injury history, the team struck a one-year, $6 million deal with Zach Wilson on Monday.

Wilson, who the New York Jets took with the No. 2 overall pick in 2021, struggled as a starter in New York. He spent last season on the Broncos’ roster in Denver.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa finished 2024 with 2,867 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, seven interceptions, and an NFL-best 72.9 completion percentage.
