When Stacey Leadbeatter walked onto the Britain’s Got Talent stage for her audition, it’s quite likely that no one looked twice at her. Once she started to sing, however, Stacey had the attention of the entire country, delivering a jaw-droppingly powerful performance of Leona Lewis’ ‘Run’ that ended up winning her a Golden Buzzer from guest judge KSI.
Telling the judges she worked in a supermarket cooking chickens for a living, and that she had never sung in front of anyone before except at the local pub, when Stacey finally did begin her performance, it’s safe to say that everyone in the room was absolutely shocked. Singing clear, soaring runs with apparently no effort whatsoever, by the time Stacey reached the chorus all of the judges seemed to be hooked on her every note.
In fact, Stacey’s performance was so shockingly brilliant that when she had finished singing, numerous members of the crowd could be heard demanding that one of the judges press the Golden Buzzer, sending her straight through to the semi-finals. It was KSI who stepped up to do the honors, leaving Stacey in floods of tears as she realized what was happening.
It was a big moment in Britain’s Got Talent history, so it’s no surprise that Stacey has since been asked to speak about her audition both online and elsewhere on television. Fans of the singer will love this interview she and her mum agreed to do with Lorraine Kelly, and it really reveals what lovely and down-to-earth people they must be.
Whatever your musical tastes, readers, we would be absolutely shocked to hear anyone denying that Stacey has an absolutely incredible singing voice. Hers was certainly my favorite audition of the night, and I for one can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us later in the competition.
Stacey Leadbeatter’s unforgettable audition on Britain’s Got Talent captured hearts nationwide, proving that talent can shine from the most unexpected places. Her spectacular rendition of ‘Run’ and KSI’s Golden Buzzer moment left audiences eager for more.
