When Blake Shelton left The Voice in 2023, we wondered what would come next for the country star. We’ve gotten new music and plenty of videos of him and Gwen Stefani enjoying life on their ranch in Oklahoma, but he’s had a lot more happening behind the scenes. Blake Shelton announced he’s executive producing a new reality TV competition show called The Road, and we now know Keith Urban is also on board. Keith will headline the new show, and it sounds absolutely awesome.
Keith Urban Is The Perfect Fit For The New Blake Shelton Show
According to Parade, Keith will headline shows in Texas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee this spring while looking for emerging talent. The musicians will open for Keith’s shows, and the audience will choose who will hit the road with Keith to the next city.
Keith Urban shared his excitement about the new Blake Shelton show with Parade in a statement. “I spent a lot of my underage life playing in some seedy pubs, sometimes just for the bartender. So I love the idea of throwing artists into a real-world environment to find out if they are artists.”
Keith added, “Paying your dues sucks, but there are things in this business that can’t be taught, like how to put together a set list, whether to extend or cut a song during your performance or how to work the crowd. For me, touring has always been my first love. It’s where the rubber meets the road. But it’s the only road to take if you want to be a performer.”
Blake Shelton will bring his new show with Keith Urban to Texas, his home state of Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
Tickets for the performances will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. We can’t wait to see what this is all about.
