Meanwhile, Dion, who has been managing Stiff Person’s Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder, made her first public appearance this year at the Paris Olympics. The condition, which causes muscle rigidity and spasms, led her to cancel her tour as she focuses on managing her health.
Celine Dion made a remarkable comeback earlier this year after stepping away from music due to health issues. Despite concerns that she might never return, Dion stunned audiences with a powerful performance at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games opening ceremony, delivering a memorable rendition of Edith Piaf’s “Hymne à l’amour” from atop the Eiffel Tower.
Following the performance, Dion released the live version of the song, “Hymne à l’amour (Live aux Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024),” which quickly gained popularity, reaching No. 33 on the U.S. iTunes sales chart. This release marks her first solo single in five years, since her 2019 album courage.
