The Oklahoma City Thunder secured a statement win at TD Garden, defeating the defending champion Boston Celtics 118-112. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s dominant performance helped the Thunder complete a regular-season sweep over Boston and snap their five-game winning streak. The Celtics wrapped up their seven-game homestand with a 5-2 record.
With the win, the Thunder improved their league-best record to 54-12 and solidified their position as the top seed in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Celtics fell to 47-19, maintaining their hold on the second seed in the Eastern Conference.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Shines Once Again In Oklahoma City Thunder’s Dominant Win

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander wrapped up his night, scoring 34 points on 11-of-20 shooting. He also added seven assists, four rebounds, and one steal. He continued his remarkable scoring consistency, recording his 60th consecutive game with 20 or more points. Additionally, he notched his fifth straight game with at least 30 points and five assists against the Celtics, tying the longest such streak in NBA history.
Chet Holmgren made a major impact in the win. He finished with a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds. Luguentz Dort added 13 points, and guard Cason Wallace contributed 14 points. Isaiah Joe and Isaiah Hartenstein provided solid bench contributions, each scoring 11 points.
Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 33 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists but did not receive enough offensive support from his teammates. Derrick White had a strong showing with 22 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, while Al Horford contributed 18 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. However, Jaylen Brown struggled, managing just 10 points and five rebounds.
