The Boston Celtics will face off against the Detroit Pistons in a crucial Eastern Conference matchup on Wednesday night. As the Celtics prepare to take the court, fans are curious about Jayson Tatum’s status for the game.

However, the Celtics are boosted with confidence coming off a solid victory over the New York Knicks, with a score of 118-105. As per the injury update, Jayson Tatum is not listed among the players concerned, and he will start for the Celtics. Although Boston will come to the game with a six-game winning streak. The good thing is Tatum played 40 minutes during the victory against the Raptors on Tuesday.

The superstar power forward made the most in the recent game without Porzingis and Holiday on the floor. And he will most likely replicate his last game’s performance. As for the injury update, Jrue Holiday is out to rest, and Al Horford is out with a left big toe sprain. Additionally, Luke Kornet is out as well for personal reasons.

Despite their recent success, including a five-game winning streak leading up to their clash with the Raptors, the Celtics will need to maintain their focus as they continue their road trip in the Motor City. Historically, Boston has dominated this matchup, winning the last 12 meetings, including a decisive 123-99 victory in December.

While he gets cheers and adoration at TD Garden, the moment he’s not around his home crowd, JT finds critics always looking for a reason to doubt him. Tatum often finds himself the target of scrutiny that overlooks his significant accomplishments.

“If you took the name and the face away from all my accomplishments and you’re just like, ‘This is what Player A accomplished at 26,’ people would talk about (me) a lot differently,” Tatum said to Washington Post.

Recently, things got a bit heated when Tatum signed a jaw-dropping $315 million contract extension. And his Olympic performance came under fire at the same time. The criticism ramped up when former NBA player Brandon Jennings called him “soft.” The criticism came in the wake of letting teammate Jaylen Brown take home the Finals MVP.

It’s disheartening for Tatum, especially when he’s constantly proving himself on the court and leading his team with impressive stats. But instead of letting these jabs get to him, he’s maintaining his focus. He knows that so many outside narratives simply miss the mark.
