“That’s Why He’s A Brooke Net”- Lakers Fans Furious As Referees Ignore Clear Push On Luka Doncic From Behind

The Los Angeles Lakers faced a tough challenge on Monday as they began a stretch without LeBron James. While Luka Doncic was at the helm, nothing much changed regarding the team’s falling flat.

LeBron is expected to be sidelined for at least one to two weeks due to a strained groin, and in such a crucial time, Doncic will have to play a dual role. However, the Brooklyn Nets seemed to have an altogether different plan for the young Slovenian.

During the second quarter’s play, Doncic made an unsuccessful attempt to guard Ziaire Williams while he was making a play and passed the ball. Despite a good offensive play on the paint, Nets’ Nic Claxton was not at all happy with Luka. As the cameras caught him, Claxton put a hard shove on Doncic, leaving him flabbergasted.

While there has to be an official whistle on the physical play, nothing at all happened. However, the social media fans caught wind and went above and beyond to blast the Nets. The actual reason for the shove is still unknown, but it seems like Luka’s first-quarter insane pass to rookie Dalton Knecht might be the reason.

The Lakers lost to the Nets 111-108, marking their first game without their superstar LeBron. Luka Doncic maintained impressive stats, achieving a triple-double with 22 points, 12 assists, and 12 rebounds, but the Lakers struggled to leverage his abilities.

Jaylen Brown might want out? Jazz into J-Rich? Dissecting trade rumbles and strategies with Adam Kaufman
With the 2022 NBA trade deadline less than two weeks away, Silly Season — that time of year you can’t trust a trade rumor further than you can throw it — has arrived. And with it, new reports that Jaylen Brown might want out of the Boston Celtics if things don’t improve with the team moving forward, plus whispers the Utah Jazz (headed by former Celtics president Danny Ainge) might have eyes for Josh Richardson on the trade market. How much stock should we put in such rumors? Does it matter if the reporter has impeccable bonafides? What should the team’s front office be considering regarding the players they have now should teams come calling? Are there players Boston needs to be shopping ahead of the Feb. 10 deadline? So many questions and we might just be warming up with several staring contests between rival GMs already starting to get further entrenched, so for this week’s CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast, we’re joined by fellow CLNS alum Adam Kaufman to talk all things Celtics and trade deadline.  Listen to the clip embedded above to get up to speed with the latest rumors and facts percolating up as the moratorium on dealing players in the 2021-22 season draws close. As he is the new favorite of the LA fans, Doncic had his fans standing for him for poor officiating during the game.

“So unprofessional but I mean that’s why he’s a brooke Net,” a fan commented.

“That looks like targeting,” another fan commented.

“@NBA when will you start holding refs accountable for manipulating outcomes of the games. Disgusting officiating,” another agitated fan wrote.

“JJ gonna call that out…no one had Luka’s back,” another comment read.

“That’s such a coward move to push a man behind his back smh,” another comment read.

In addition to James, the Lakers were also missing Dorian Finney-Smith and Rui Hachimura, further complicating their situation. However, the upcoming schedule poses significant challenges for the Lakers as well. They have crucial games against strong teams like Milwaukee, Denver, and Phoenix within the next few weeks.
