Stephen Curry, the superstar of the Golden State Warriors, is one of the standout players in the ongoing 2024-25 NBA season. Throughout his remarkable career, Curry has achieved numerous milestones that showcase his exceptional talent. Recently, he added another significant accomplishment to his legacy, further establishing his status as a dominant force on the court.

According to a report from ESPN’s Shams Charania, Curry has officially taken on a new role with his alma mater, Davidson College. He will serve as the assistant general manager for the school’s basketball programs.

This marks a significant milestone, as Curry is now the first active player in any major professional sport in the United States to assume an administrative position with an NCAA team.

Curry’s journey at Davidson spanned three influential seasons, from 2006 to 2009. He distinguished himself as a two-time consensus All-American and earned the title of Southern Conference Player of the Year twice. Curry’s decision to embrace this new opportunity reflects his deep commitment to his roots and a genuine desire to positively influence the program’s future.

Where are they now? Keeping tabs on players from the past with Honest Larry
The Boston Celtics can finally concentrate on finding the players on finishing their roster with the Kevin Durant trade request from the Brooklyn Nets rescinded, and in so doing will likely create some new alumni in the process by bringing on a few new players in place of the depth that they had in the 2021-22 NBA season. But where are the players from Boston’s past signing for this upcoming season? What teams and leagues are they signing with? Who is making the leap into coaching? Who are still waiting for the logjam that is KD that just broke to open up some spots for them to sign with a team in the Association? For this episode of the CLNS Media “Celtics Lab” podcast, we decided to take a trip down memory lane to get ourselves up to speed on where the alumni of the Celtics are going to spend the upcoming season.  To do that we enlisted friend of the pod and unofficial team Twitter historian Honest Larry, who linked up with your usual hosts Cameron Tabatabaie, Alex Goldberg, and Justin Quinn to figure out where these blasts from Boston’s past hang their hats (and their jerseys) now. CL Pod 59: The Boston Celtics Aren’t Dead – They’re Feeling Better, Actually
The Boston Celtics aren’t dead – they’re feeling better actually. Excuse the Monty Python reference, but with all the injuries this team has managed to keep going with yet still be in the hunt for the ultimate prize, Python’s Holy Grail seems pretty apt. The starters have shown signs of life despite being left for dead by the national media, and the second unit keeps on fighting despite losing several key parts, much like the Black Knight. But what other moves has Boston made to address their significant lack of depth, and how are the playoffs looking this week? Maybe most interesting of all, why are beat writers penning missives to their lack of yearning for a departed former player six months after said exit? All these questions and more are answered by Luis Gonzales and Justin Quinn in this week’s podcast.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/celtics-lab-nba-basketball-podcast/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices.
