Whoopi, 68, introduced the segment by discussing Oprah’s struggles with losing weight.

“Do you agree that more people are finding hope in taking their weight more seriously as a health issue?” Whoopi asked the

“I will tell you, I weight almost 300 lbs when I made Till, and I had taken all those steroids, I was on all this stuff,” she admitted.

“One of the things that helped me drop the weight is Mounjaro. That’s what I use,” Whoopi explained.

Mounjaro is the brand name of an injectable medication called Tirzepatide.

It is used to treat type 2 diabetes and weight loss, much like Ozempic.

The panelists noted that Oprah did not note what drugs she had used to lose weight or if she had.

Sunny Hostin admitted she also gained 40 lbs during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and ended up taking Mounjaro to lose weight

The View hosts discussed how people are shamed for being overweight and then shamed for losing the weight during methods that are not “acceptable” by society.

Whoopi was the first to admit she had used Mounjaro to help with her weight loss, as she is usually a radically honest moderator.

Fans went to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts on Whoopi’s admission.

“I have been waiting for Whoopi to stay what she was doing to lose the weight. When the season started it was noticable even through her wearing oversized baggy clothes,” one wrote.

“Whoopi gained weight when she battled so many health issues,”” another commented.

“The right fat-shamed her to no end. She privately went about her business regaining her health, lost weight, & looks FABULOUS!”

WILD WHOOPI

Earlier in March, Whoopi had The View fans feeling confused after she had been bleeped out twice.

Viewers were curious what she could have said to need her audio feed cut.

The show had started out a bit differently, with Nikki Haley on board to announce she was dropping out of the presidential race.

Then the show brought on journalist Jonathan Karl instead of going straight into the episode’s Hot Topics.

He had a long discussion with the panelists, during which Whoopi became very passionate about the topic.

She asked Jonathan why he thinks there aren’t more people who want to run for president.

Jonathan gave his answer and basically said no one is going to run against the sitting Democrat.

“But, I don’t understand,” Whoopi interrupted.

“If all the Democrats are saying, ‘This is not a good idea’ and you don’t have the ca-.”

Then, Whoopi’s audio got cut out for about five words.

Whoopi then went on for about 30 more seconds with her audio back on.

Jonathan then answered her next question.

Whoopi then responded by saying, “This is my question for everyone out there. Where are you-?”

And then her audio got cut off again before it turned back on and she continued on with her question.

CONFUSED FANS

After the multiple bleeps, The View fans were left scrambling to figure out what Whoopi said.

One fan thinks that during the first bleep, she said the word “cajones.”

“You can’t say “cajones” on #theview ? @ABC smh,” the fan tweeted.

Another fan was just confused as to what she said.

“That’s the 2nd time the sound has ‘gone out’ when Whoopi was freaking talking today!!!! Coincidence?! Hell no #TheView,” they said.

“Why’d they bleep Whoopi? #theview,” asked a third.

The reason behind Whoopi’s apparent censorship was never actually given.
