WENDY Williams is no longer working with former manager Will Selby and publicist Shawn Zanotti, who starred with the ailing host on her explosive Lifetime documentary.

Multiple sources have confirmed to The U.S. Sun that Wendy’s publicist Shawn has been out of the picture for some time, while her jeweler-turned-manager, Will, is said to be in contact with the star but not on a professional basis.

“Shawn was in hot water after she took Wendy to Los Angeles,” the source said, noting the tumultuous trip she took with Wendy, 59, which was shown in the new Lifetime docuseries.

“The last time Shawn did any sort of work for Wendy was in May, as she still needed a publicist when she had to back out of her speaking gig at the Atlanta Women’s Expo after being hospitalized.

“Shawn handled that fallout from the Expo, but she’s been out of the picture ever since Wendy went into treatment this time,” the insider explained.

A second source said, “Will had initially remained involved in Wendy’s care, and he is one of the few people who knows where she is, but he’s no longer working with her.”

The U.S. Sun reached out to Will, Shawn, and Wendy’s official guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, for comment.

Wendy fans who watched the Lifetime docuseries got to witness firsthand Will and Shawn’s controversial rapport with the ailing star.

ANGRY FANS

Fans were outraged at Will and Shawn as they watched the Lifetime series Where is Wendy Williams? over the weekend.

One fan took to X (formerly Twitter) and said, “Shawn Zanotti Wendy’s ‘publicist’ and Will Selby her ‘manager’ seem to be shameless opportunists whose sole interest is to parade Wendy around, fill her head with fantasy and exploit her all for the sake of making a buck. What a set of leeches. Unscrupulous!”

Fans were particularly appalled by one scene which showed Wendy becoming irrationally upset over buying e-cigarettes.

Taking to Instagram fans expressed their concern for Wendy and bashed Lifetime for including the “manic episode” in the final cut.

“How are you not concerned about her health? That scene was a full-blown manic episode!” one ranted, adding, “Who are these people around her? They’re pissing me off!”

Another user on X slammed her former manager, “Of course Will Selby let Wendy do an interview when she clearly wasn’t in her right state of mind to be doing interviews, or be on camera. Anything for money, right Will?”

WENDY ‘DIDN’T KNOW’

As The U.S. Sun previously exclusively revealed, there were times when Wendy had no idea she was filming a documentary.

Multiple sources claimed the star didn’t know why the camera crews were around her.

“She believed she was filming podcast promotions at times, but she certainly did not seem to understand this was for a documentary,” a source said.

“She did not know she was filming a documentary,” another Wendy insider claimed.

TERRIFYING DIAGNOSIS

As The U.S. Sun exclusively reported on Thursday morning, Wendy was diagnosed with alcohol-related brain damage in 2019 during a rehab stint in Florida, something her son finally confirmed to viewers during the documentary.

An insider said that there was a brain scan done as part of Wendy’s rehab stay in Delray Beach.

A neurologist sat down with the star and her son and now ex-husband, Kevin Hunter Sr., 51.

“The doctor explained to them that Wendy was suffering from alcohol-related brain damage. They told her that her alcohol abuse had done permanent damage to the layers in her brain,” the insider said.

“She was warned then and there that if she continued to drink, the damage would only get worse.

“They told her that if she kept drinking she would continue to grow more forgetful, that she wouldn’t remember people’s names, and eventually, she could forget who people even were,” the source said.

After a comment call regarding The U.S. Sun’s story was sent to Wendy’s team, they released a statement saying the star had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia last year.

“The decision to share this news was difficult and made after careful consideration, not only to advocate for understanding and compassion for Wendy, but to raise awareness about aphasia and frontotemporal dementia and support the thousands of others facing similar circumstances,” the statement read.

WENDY’S GUARDIANSHIP

As The U.S. Sun first exclusively reported, in early 2022, Wendy’s bank, Wells Fargo, locked the star out of her accounts and filed a petition to hold a guardianship hearing.

Wendy’s attorney at that time had asserted that Wells Fargo was in “possession of several million dollars worth of funds” belonging to the host.

In the documents, Wendy’s attorney said that the star’s former financial advisor told the bank that Wendy “was of unsound mind,” while Wells Fargo denied her access to her bank accounts and statements.

Wells Fargo justified its decision to keep Wendy’s accounts frozen by referencing its authority under various client agreements to “pause or reject instructions for a proposed transaction, pending judicial or administrative remedies, should they suspect financial exploitation, dementia, or undue influence.”

Over the next several months, Wendy was placed in a court-appointed financial conservatorship under attorney Sabrina Morrissey, who The U.S. Sun previously identified.

Most conservatorship cases in New York State are filed under seal.
