In the 10 Super Bowl appearances that Tom Brady made in his all-time legendary NFL career (and the seven that he won), he knows at least a thing or two about what the after effects are.

Brady’s 2007 New England Patriots were one game away from history; they could have become the first team in league history to win the Super Bowl with a perfect season, but the New York Giants squelched that dream in the Big Game.

Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs dynasty was lunging for history themselves with the prospect of becoming the first franchise to win three consecutive Super Bowls in a row.

Instead, the Philadelphia Eagles steamrolled them to the tune of a 40-22 final score and many have been left questioning just how good the Chiefs really ever were—most of their 15 regular season wins were by one possession.

Brady, who called the game for FOX, released a behind-the-scenes video of his day at Super Bowl LIX on YouTube. At the end, he shed insight on what Mahomes, who Brady defeated himself four years ago in Super Bowl LV, was feeling after the defeat.

“You just don’t sleep for a couple of days,” he said. “You think it’s a nightmare, you really do. You’re like, ‘It didn’t happen, I woke up, it was a bad dream’ and then you’re like … it sinks in,” Brady said to the camera. “And then ultimately, you get over it. I mean, acute pain, but then there’s that chronic scar tissue of making it that far and then coming up short. Giants, Eagles. Especially when you’re the better team. In all three Super Bowls we lost, we were the better team.
