TODAY star Savannah Guthrie seems to be drained of all of the uproar happening behind-the-scenes at the NBC network.
During Savannah’s sit-down with Stephen Colbert on his late-night talk show, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, she briefly addressed Ronna McDaniel’s rapid firing from NBC.
Former Republican National Committee chairwoman Rona, 51, was let go at NBC a week following her being brought on.
An “internal revolt over her being hired” broke out, causing her to be given the boot, Daily Beast reported Wednesday.
The incident appeared to take a toll on the NBC anchor, 52, since she jokingly asked Stephen, 59, if there were “any openings” at CBS–Stephen’s talk show is on the TV network.
Savannah revealed to the comedian that she was going to give him the inside scoop on the situation in a way that was “as boring as possible.”
The TV personality explained, “It was an unpleasant few days at [NBC],” and there was “no question about it.”
Savannah visited The Late Show With Stephen Colbert apparently to promote her book Mostly What God Does.
Recently, she has been involving herself in projects outside of Today.
Earlier this year, with some help from her co-stars, Savannah shared she was the cover star for Allrecipes, which, previously, only ever had food on its covers.
STUNNING SAVANNAH
Savannah, Hoda Kotb, Al Roker, and Carson Daly stood outside in the Today plaza in August to make the announcement.
Hoda told everyone: “To celebrate its 10-year anniversary, Allrecipes magazine asked Savannah to be their first-ever cover star!
“She talks about her journey as an amateur chef. She shares Vale and Charley’s favorite breakfast recipes.”
Turning to her co-host, Hoda gushed: “Look at you!”
Carson then added: “That’s amazing!”
Savannah was unable to find the right words to share about the exciting news, before confessing: “No one’s more shocked than me.”
Later on her Instagram, Savannah posted pictures from her magazine spread and a behind-the-scenes video from the photoshoot.
SAV SERVES AS INSPO
In one post, she wrote in the caption: “Thank you thank you thank you @allrecipes for the honor of being on your cover!!”
In another, she said: “I cannot believe I’m on the cover of @allrecipes!”
Prior to that, the roles were reversed, and Savannah was the one helping Hoda announce her own exciting career news.
Hoda shared that the new project was inspired by her youngest daughter, Hope.
The Today host said on the morning show: “A few years back, I wrote the book, I’ve Loved You Since Forever, and it was inspired by the birth of my daughter Haley.
“So, I’m bursting because I have a book coming out next March, and it’s inspired by my youngest daughter, Hope.”
She explained that the book is about “really looking for hope all around” yourself.
