TODAY star Hoda Kotb has dedicated a social media post to her friend in the wake of her friend’s mom’s death.

Hoda used singer Ed Sheeran to pay homage to a friend and her friend’s mom on Instagram.

Hoda, 59, took to her Instagram timeline late last night to share a clip of Ed, 33, performing at one of his concerts.

The music star was performing his beloved song, Supermarket Flowers.

“A friend of mine lost her mom yesterday. Hope Ed Sheeran reminds her that she is not alone,” the TV star captioned.

Fans in Hoda’s caption empathized with Hoda and her friend.

“Had giant tears roll down my face the first time I heard this song. It’s so beautiful. My mom has been gone for 13 years…,” one fan confessed.

“Still miss her everyday. It’s such a hard part of the life cycle. I was so blessed.”

A second fan added: “Losing a parent shatters your world. My sympathies to your friend. May she find comfort in this beautiful song.”

A third person remarked: “So sorry to hear about your Friend’s loss. If you’re blessed to have your mom, call her, hug her, tell her you love her today. nI lost my Mom and it’s so painful. I miss her everyday.”

The morning show anchor seems to have a lot going on in her life at the moment.

BLIND DATE

Last week, Hoda played a game of Never Have I Ever during a pre-taped episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna.

Jenna Bush Hager, 42, wasn’t in that day, but Saturday’s anchor Laura Jarrett, 40, stepped in for her.

Laura pressed Hoda about her love life after she revealed she recently went on a blind date.

“Wait, wait, wait. How did that go?” Laura enthusiastically asked.

Hoda confessed that her usual co-host, Jenna, arranged the date, and the guy was someone Jenna knew through another friend.

Earlier this month, Hoda was spotted with a mystery man in photos exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun.

The two appeared to be enjoying each other’s company.

Albeit it’s not sure whether or not the man was the same one who was mentioned on the show.

Hoda wore tight blue jeans, an orange top, and a tan puffer jacket, and her short layered brunette locks flowed straight down.

Her date looked suave in blue pants, a white collared shirt, and a suit jacket.

Hoda previously disclosed that she was expecting a third date with a man her co-host introduced her to.

In an interview with People, the NBC personality explained her newfound relationship was a “setup,” which was her preferred dating method.

“I like that a little bit better than random person number three,” the mom of two noted.

Hoda didn’t give any additional hints about who her date was or if he was a public figure.
