“It is an hour before our live show and we’ve had to evacuate because of a fire in the kitchen,” Tamron said in the video.

She went on to say that everyone was safe, as they were all outside and away from the fire.

“I think there’s still smoke or something, but it’s an hour before our live show,” Tamron shared.

“It’s an exciting day.”

The 53-year-old then shared a video of fire trucks racing to the scene.

The View hosts had to evacuate as well and talked about it at the beginning of Wednesday’s show.

Tamron canceled her show, but The View continued on with its show.

SCARY VIEW

Despite the incident, Whoopi seemed in good spirits as she started off The View by pointing out the hosts’ humorous song choice.

“We walked out to Billy Joel’s hit, We Didn’t Start the Fire, because it actually happened next door at Tamron Hall’s,” she said.

The hosts laughed at Whoopi‘s statement

“This morning we had to evacuate the studio because there was a fire,” Whoopi added for context.

The moderator added that they don’t know who or what started it.

Photos were shown of The View hosts standing on the sidewalk and evacuating the building.

“Why are we being photographed just walking down the street?” Whoopi asked.

Joy Behar said that they have a lot of air time to fill.

Ana Navarro shared that she was on a plane when the Zoom meeting went black and alarms began flashing as the hosts evacuated.

She said she had “no idea what was going on” at the time.

HOSTS’ CONCERNS

Alyssa Farah Griffin said that after she knew the hosts were safe, she wondered where her glam team was.

“Who cares if Brian [Teta] is safe, where’s my hair and makeup teams?” she joked.

Brian is The View’s executive producer.

Sunny Hostin said she was concerned because she left her purse in the studio, which had her phone in it.

After the hosts were out safe, Joy Behar was concerned that she was being photographed without her makeup on

Joy, 81, joked that she was concerned she was going to be photographed without her hair and makeup done.

“I grabbed my purse,” Whoopi interrupted.

“You aren’t supposed to grab anything. You just have to go,” Sunny, 55, shot back.

Whoopi defended herself by saying that your phone is like your ID and is a way to get in touch with people, so it’s important to grab it.

She let fans know that neither The View hosts nor Tamron started the fire, despite it breaking out in Tamron’s kitchen.

Tamron shared a video of fire trucks approaching and her crew standing around but said everyone was okay
