THE View has made some fans unable to tune into Wednesday’s episode after abruptly changing its schedule.
Fans discovered the September 11 episode would not air on ABC due to the 9/11 memorial service.
TV guides showed that the network’s usual lineup of shows would pause for the annual commemoration ceremony.
However, the talk show didn’t exactly cancel the episode, leading fans to believe they’re expected to watch it elsewhere.
The highly anticipated episode will most likely center around Tuesday night’s presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.
Grammy award-winning artist Usher is also scheduled to appear on the live episode.
ONLY STREAMING?
But it appears not everyone will be able to watch it, as it might only air on various streaming platforms.
The View streams on Hulu, Disney+, Sling TV, fuboTV, and YouTube TV – all platforms viewers can only watch with a paid subscription.
Devoted fans can also view episodes on ABC’s website by signing in with their TV provider or wait a week to watch the episode without signing in.
Neither ABC nor The View announced the sudden changeup, but the latter has teased Wednesday’s episode on social media.
The View recently returned from a weeks-long hiatus for summer break and showed off their lavish new set.
A source exclusive told The U.S. Sun that the new studio in downtown Manhattan cost approximately $10 million, and staffers weren’t pleased with the major expense.
The insider revealed that employees are “furious” about the seemingly unnecessary move after recently firing a slew of workers to cut costs.
They also noted that it was a complete transformation, even down to small details.
Shortly before, The U.S. Sun exclusively reported that moderator Whoopi Goldberg was up in arms over not having a private bathroom in her dressing room.
A source revealed that Whoopi, who once had the largest dressing room of all her cohosts, was instead using her dressing room at her production studios.
Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin are also on The View’s panel.
Recently, rumblings have been going around about the show’s future as ratings have fluctuated.
A TV insider exclusively revealed to The U.S. Sun last month that the show’s fate was “uncertain” but should be decided soon.
The source also said that the death of The View’s creator, Barbara Walters, in December 2022 made the show less likely to survive.
Fans have had mixed reviews about the program in recent years, especially with the host’s controversial opinions.
Critics recently begged ABC to cancel The View, claiming the panel’s takes were “horrible” and “disgusting” while discussing political topics.
