THE View’s Sara Haines has taken on another job outside of the talk show.
She is following in the footsteps of her co-host as they also appeared on the show recently.
Sara, 46, revealed on Friday’s show that she will appear on an episode of Finding Your Roots.
Educator Henry Louis Gates Jr. hosts the show, in which celebrities look into their ancestry using their DNA.
In each episode, the guest star will find out if they are related to famous/infamous people, discover secrets, and view their ancestral history.
This testing is done through analyzing genetic code and DNA diagnosticians tracing bloodlines.
Finding Your Roots airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on PBS.
Sara is going to be on an episode of Season 10.
She also took on another role recently, where she is going to be a correspondent for the ABC show, What Would You Do?.
SARA’S TURN
Sara revealed that she is going to be on Finding Your Roots.
“I’m doing mine,” she said on The View.
“You’re doing yours too?” Sunny Hostin asked.
“Yeah. They’re working on it,” Sara said.
“We shoot at the end of the year.”
However, Sara said that Sunny’s episode has her petrified to find out about her family.
“But, I’m not expecting great things so…”
SUNNY’S STORY
Sara’s co-host, Sunny, was on episode six this season.
She talked about her experience on The View.
Sunny, 55, found out where her family was from, that her family owned slaves, and that the grandfather that she knew wasn’t her real grandfather.
Finally, she revealed that she is related to Anthony Ramos from Hamilton, who is her cousin.
After Sunny gave her story, Joy Behar said there was nothing remotely interesting when she did hers.
However, her episode never aired.
“It’s in the can,” Joy, 81, said.
Alyssa Farah Griffin revealed that she traced her family’s DNA, but did not appear on the PBS show.
