SARA Haines has been out of town attending the funeral of a family friend in her hometown of Newton, Iowa.

The 46-year-old was nowhere to be found during Tuesday’s episode of the talk show.

The show had already gotten underway when moderator Whoopi Goldberg broke the news about were Sara, 46, had been, as she was missing from the table.

“I’m so sorry,” the 68-year-old said after The View had already gotten underway.

“We were remiss. We needed to tell you that Sara is out for a few days attending a funeral for a family friend. That’s why she’s not here,” Whoopi explained.

“It got away from me,” she added before moving on to a discussion about how women’s professionalism is often judged on their physical appearance.

The episode went on as normal without Sara there to join the discussion.

Whoopi did not clarify how long “a few days” actually was.

Sara grew up in Iowa and was likely spending time with close friends and family while dealing with the loss.

She shared a quick snap to her Instagram Stories of an electronic sign at Des Moines International Airport on Monday.

“Home,” she labeled the photo.

She did not offer any additional details about what she planned to do while she was in town, if anything, other than attend the funeral.

It’s unclear when Sara will return to her spot at the table, but she may decide to take the weekend to mourn and remain in her hometown.

GONE GIRL

Sara also went missing from her post on The View in late February.

At that time, the hosts seemingly know where she was, and they speculated on the reason for her absence.

Whoopi had given a brief announcement about Sara being out at that time as well.

“Sara is out today. We all miss her, but she will hopefully be back in the next couple of days,” she explained.

“She didn’t feel good,” Joy Behar, 81, said. “But, she’s fine.”

“She didn’t feel good, but she’s fine?” Whoopi repeated, confused.

“I’d say it was PMS, but she’s over it,” Joy responded.

“Remember those days?” Whoopi asked.

“She’s not over PMS. She’s 42,” Alyssa Farah Griffin, said. “I’ve got to stand up for my girl!”

A confused Whoopi ended up moving on from the moment to get through the rest of the show.

Sara ended up returning to her post the next day and remained in the studio for the rest of the week.
