RYAN Seacrest has gotten his hands into another project.
The American Idol host is taking on another project just months before he takes over for Pat Sajak on Wheel of Fortune.
Ryan, 49, is coming out with a book.
He and his sister, Meredith, are releasing a children’s book called The Make-Believers, according to People.
The book will be published on October 8 by Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers.
The Make-Believers is now available for pre-order and is selling for $19.99.
“We are so excited to be able to release our first children’s book into the world this fall,” Ryan and Meredith told the outlet.
The Make-Believers is based on the siblings’ childhood, as they always played make-believe, which helped them bond, according to a press release.
It is illustrated by Bonnie Lui, who has designed artwork for many books, games, and television.
Ryan’s book is a “new take on the strength of childhood imagination, and the importance of sharing your dreams with the people in your life,” according to a statement obtained by People.
“The idea behind The Make-Believers is so important to us, as it was inspired by our own childhood growing up just outside of Atlanta,” they said.
“We both wondered what life was like beyond our everyday surroundings and from a young age, we discovered that our imaginations doubled as tools to dream big and travel far.”
DREAM BIG
The Make-Believers will inspire children who read it to dream big.
“We used our imaginations to envision an extraordinary life, like the ones we saw in the movies and television or in magazines and books,” Ryan and Meredith said.
This is the first project that the siblings have worked on together.
The Seacrest family started The Ryan Seacrest Foundation together in 2009, in which Meredith is the Executive Director and COO.
“Through our foundation we get to interact with children all the time and understand the value of reading and the power of using our imaginations,” Ryan and Meredith went on.
“We want to help kids realize their dreams and believe in a world that is entirely their own.”
Aside from the children’s book and American Idol, Ryan is set to host Wheel of Fortune beginning this June.
Current host Pat announced his retirement from the game show in June.
Ryan left Live after six years last April to focus on Idol full-time and move to California.
