Complete Mecole Hardman breakdown: What he brings to NY JetsThe Kansas City Chiefs could be getting a crucial weapon back just in time for the playoffs.

On Wednesday, head coach Andy Reid provided an update on wide receiver Mecole Hardman.

“Mecole (Hardman) will practice,” Reid told reporters. “He is activated into the 21-day window.

However, don’t count on seeing him out there in the team’s regular season finale against the Denver Broncos.

“I wouldn’t count on Mecole (Hardman) playing,” Reid added.

This will give Hardman just under three weeks before he has to play in the second round of the playoffs after the Chiefs earned the first-round bye.

Hardman suffered an undisclosed knee injury during practice, which landed him on injured reserve. But considering his heroics in Super Bowl LVIII where he caught the game-winning touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers, getting him back for the playoffs is certainly the best way to start their three-peat run.

Earlier this week, Reid also provided an injury update on three other players. Along with Hardman, he was asked about WRs Skyy Moore, Rashee Rice, and CB Jaylen Watson’s chances of return.

“There’s a chance with Mecole (Hardman) and potentially (Jaylen) Watson,” Reid said. “I mean, potentially, you know, that would be stretching it, the whole thing. But the other two, no.”

A healthy Chiefs roster just in time for the playoffs…. YES PLEASE!

That three-peat is looking even better each and every day
