Brittany has partnered with pharmaceutical company Kaleo to raise awareness about food allergies and the importance of carrying emergency medications like AUVI-q, an epinephrine auto-injector suitable for infants and toddlers.

Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, took to social media on Thursday night to detail the harrowing experience of having to rush their infant son Bronze to the emergency room after discovering he has a food alergy.

Bronze, who is about to be nine months old, is likely starting to try new foods. Finding out about allergies at that age is not uncommon. Brittany shared a photo to Instagram Stories explaining he is “highly allergic to peanuts.”

“We took a very scary and frantic trip to the ER yesterday after finding out this guy is highly, highly allergic to peanuts,” Brittany wrote. “The scariest 30 minutes of my life.”

Fortunately, everything went well, and baby Bronze is perfectly fine. Well, except for the fact that he’s teething.

“Another tooth coming in, so he needed some extra snuggles tonight,” Brittany wrote in a follow-up to the ER story.

Bronze soon to turn 1

Bronze, whose full name is Patrick Lavon Mahomes III, was born November 28, 2022 and is just a few month away from celebrating his first birthday.
