KELLY Ripa has ripped a suggestion that she could compete on The Golden Bachelorette.

The Live host and her husband, Mark Consuelos, revealed their dating back-up plans, if something should happen to the other.

On Monday’s Live with Kelly and Mark, the opening conversation turned to dating habits, and the fact the couple confessed their last date was 30 years ago.

“Isn’t that crazy?” Kelly, 53, asked ask the audience gasped.

“That 30 years ago was the last date we went on. Isn’t that nuts?”

The talk took a turn when Mark, 52, asked what his partner would do if either unexpectedly died.

“I would never date again,” Kelly boasted, as the crowd went aww.

“No, no, don’t ‘aww’ me,” Kelly snapped back, explaining the reason she wouldn’t date again was because, “I’m just too finicky.”

As Kelly began to rattle off her dating requirements, Mark interrupted her.

“On this season’s The Golden Bachelorette,” he started, soliciting laughs from both and derailing Kelly’s thoughts

Oh that would be the fastest series ABC ever had,” Kelly replied, wiping away tears of laughter. “It would be one episode, and as the limousine was rolling…not even. The car just needs to slow down, and I’d be like, ‘Next! Next! Next! No. No thank you. Are you kidding me? See ya later! Goodbye.’”

Realizing what she was saying, Mark conceded, “You’re too tired to train another one. I’m housebroken.”

“You are my best project I’ve ever worked on,” Kelly agreed, shooting her husband a loving look.

MARK’S TURN

As for Mark, the 52-year-old took the high road – first promising to spend a full year mourning.

After that, “I would do what any self-respecting man would do. I would go to church and meet a nice lady at church,” he said, looking up to the heavens for approval.

“He’s waiting for God to strike him down,” Kelly countered.

Mark then said he would likely date someone of an appropriate age, and even had a specific range.

“There is a formulation,” he explained to his wife. “It’s your age, divided by two, plus seven.

“So, that would be 26 plus 7 … so 33 would be the youngest I could go.

An unconvinced Kelly shot back, “I think you wouldn’t even know what to do with a 33-year-old.”

LIFE WITH KELLY AND MARK

Kelly and Mark have been married for 27 years.

However, it hasn’t always been a fairy tale – starting with their quickie Vegas marriage.

Two years ago, Kelly reflected on the small budget ceremony.

“We just had a very normal, very regular wedding,” she told co-host Ryan Seacrest during an episode of their talk show.

“It really is such an efficient way to get married. And it was fun. We were like: ‘Now, this is gambling! Woohoo!’”

The couple – who met in 1995 on the soap opera All My Children – were both based in New York City.

Kelly admitted the decision to elope was inspired by the fact that both of them happened to have two days off work.

“Two consecutive days off from work, both on the same day. And it was like: ‘Let’s go to Vegas and get married and it’ll be fun,’” she recalled.

The mother of three went on to revealed the ceremony was very cheap.

Kelly said: “$179 for a wedding, including airfare, cause we had miles and we had a canceled trip or something. But $179 in total — total with everything.”

As for her wedding dress, Kelly revealed she bought it for $199 in clearance at a Barney’s warehouse sale.
