Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Emily Brontë’s iconic gothic romance, Wuthering Heights, is set for a Valentine’s Day release on February 13, 2026. The film, produced by Warner Bros. and MRC, features Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi in leading roles alongside Hong Chau, Alison Oliver, and Shazad Latif.

The project, which Fennell wrote, directed, and produced, continues her collaboration with MRC and Robbie’s production company, LuckyChap, following the success of Saltburn. It also marks the third partnership between Fennell and LuckyChap, who previously worked together on Promising Young Woman.

The film’s production generated significant interest in the industry, leading to a competitive bidding war. Sources revealed that Netflix offered a staggering $150 million for the movie, but the filmmakers ultimately chose Warner Bros.’ bid of $80 million. They were reportedly drawn to Warner Bros.’ vision, which included a theatrical release and an extensive marketing campaign led by film executives Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy.
