KELLY Ripa has appeared overjoyed while meeting a special guest with the same name as her on Live.

It happened during the show’s annual segment, Live‘s Viewer’s Choice Show, in honor of awards season.

The pair counted down the program’s top videos of the year and presented trophies to the winners.

One clip was a throwback of the couple interacting with an audience member who revealed he named his dog Kelly Ripug after the famous TV host.

The fan wore a personalized shirt with a photo of his pug and her name on it and even gifted one to Mark, 52.

Kelly, 53, then revealed she wanted to meet the pup despite previously learning that production wouldn’t allow the fan to bring the dog inside the studio.

Mark surprised Kelly by introducing the fan and the infamous pug on stage, making her gasp in excitement.

The fan walked out with his adorable canine, dressed in a pink tutu and pearls around her neck.

Kelly immediately reached for the dog and held her in her arms while Mark asked the fan about her familiar moniker.

The fan also shared some similarities Kelly Ripug had with the actress, including her extroverted personality.

Mark then presented the fan with a trophy and a $500 gift card for being the Top Social Media Clip of the Year.

Kelly and Mark started officially co-hosting Live together last April, following her previous co-host Ryan Seacrest‘s departure.

NOT DONE YET

Despite the recent changeup, the mom of three has been teasing her plans for retirement in the not-so-distant future.

“I’m so close,” Kelly told Ryan, 48, about retiring on an episode of her podcastLet’s Talk off Camera.

Ryan then called out his ex-co-host for continuously taking on more work amid talks about pulling back from TV.

One project the Hope & Faith alum has been focusing on is her podcast, which she revealed is gearing up its second season.

“Now, I spoke to his beloved Leslie Bibb yesterday on my podcast,” Kelly said on Live before adding, “Season 2 is coming shortly.”

The All My Children alum launched her podcast last March, in which she interviews a slew of celebrity guests.

She and Mark also recently announced they’re taking their show on the road and doing four shows in Las Vegas, Nevada.

RETIREMENT PLANS

However, Kelly is still strongly considering leaving her daytime TV gig.

I don’t intend to work at this job for the rest of my life,” Kelly admitted in an interview with Purist magazine.

“I do talk about retirement with great interest, but right now I’m very happy, especially working with Mark,” she added.
