Kelly Clarkson Expected To Resume Taping Thursday After Absence

Kelly Clarkson has been a staple on daytime TV for six seasons, but her recent absence from the airwaves has caused some concern among her fans.

Over the past two weeks, the show has seen a series of guest hosts, from Kevin Hart and Wanda Sykes to Roy Wood Jr. and Simu Liu. According to the schedule for the week of March 10, Kelly will be absent again this week, and the show’s hosts will include Brooke Shields, Willie Geist, and Molly Sims. The schedule change has fans asking, “Where is Kelly?”

When Simu Liu hosted last week, the actor told the audience, “Here’s the thing, I did not know that I was doing this until five minutes ago when I arrived here to promote my new movie Last Breath…so I’m here now, and I’m not one to back down from a challenge.”

Since then, there has been no mention of Kelly’s absence or why she’s taking a break from filming her show. When the schedule was announced on Instagram, fans took to the comments section to express their concern:

  • “We love Kelly and respect her privacy but yall definitely need to put out some sort of statement because this is worrisome”

UPDATE: Kelly Clarkson returned to social media on March 14 to announce a new collaboration with Rascal Flatts. Plus, we now know that she will return to her show on March 18. Good Housekeeping officially confirmed that Kelly has returned to filming, but a guest host is on the schedule again for March 19.
