Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager have revealed why they believe superstar couple Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are set to get engaged soon.

The Today with Hoda and Jenna stars noted on Tuesday’s episode that they have accurately predicted two A-list proposals so far.

First, they correctly guessed that Selena Gomez would get engagement to Benny Blanco, while the pair also predicted that Tom Holland would ask for Zendaya’s hand in marriage.

Looking at what the future held for Taylor and Travis, who first went public with their romance in September 2023, the pair stated: ‘Our final prediction on another couple [about to get engaged is] Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift!’

Hoda grinned as she told viewers: ‘It’s happening!’

Revealing what they claimed to be the tell-tale signs, the duo noted that wearing matching clothes, supporting each other’s ventures and spending the holidays with both families always seemed to lead to someone getting down on one knee.

Hoda noted: ‘They wear matching clothes, and we know their families have been together, because we’ve seen it in [football] boxes and over the holidays.’

Jenna added: ‘They support each other’s careers, even though they’re both busy… It’s time.’

The prediction comes after Travis revealed that he has told his girlfriend that he wouldn’t want to get married in the fall.

During this week’s episode of New Heights, the NFL star and his brother Jason Kelce were asked for their thoughts on a fan’s desire not to have his wedding at the height of football season.

The question came as fans continue to speculate that Travis, a three-time Super Bowl winner, and his popstar girlfriend will get engaged in the near future.

Indeed, the hitmaker and the Kansas City Chiefs star have taken the NFL and pop culture worlds by storm over the past 18 months, dazzling fans with their jet-setting, high-profile love story.

But Travis has warned the singer not to expect a wedding at the peak of the football season.

‘I actually don’t know people who’ve gotten married in the fall because all the weddings I’ve been to and all my friends always do it in the summer,’ he told Jason.

‘You gotta be willing to find a weekend where the team isn’t playing anybody good maybe.’

He continued: ‘Also, if you really do have a problem with that, maybe it’s in her best interest to not have it in the fall so that she knows you’re invested in the anniversary every time it comes around.

‘I’ve seen weddings in f***ing February. I’ve seen weddings everywhere but the fall. So I’m not sure if the fall was a good wedding season.’

Swift and Kelce have been dating since last September, when she appeared in a luxury suite at a Chiefs game next to Donna Kelce, Travis’ mother.

The couple celebrated their one-year anniversary back in July, having officially met a few months before Taylor attended her first Chiefs game.

The singer and songwriter previously explained to Time magazine that they began hanging out after Kelce admitted he tried and failed to give her his phone number.

‘We started hanging out right after that,’ she said. ‘So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.

‘I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game. We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.’

Talk of the pair taking their romance towards marriage recently sparked up once again when after fans noticed a bizarre detail in photos from Swift’s recent 35th birthday bash.

Several photos showed Swift sipping on a cocktail while posing up with fellow Chiefs WAG Lyndsay Bell, Swift’s close pal Ashley Avignone, and pal Brittany Mahomes – wife of NFL superstar and Kelce’s teammate, Patrick Mahomes.

In pictures from the party, eagled-eyed fans claimed that the hitmaker’s left ring finger looked ‘blurred,’ while others suggested she was purposely hiding her finger from view.

This immediately sparked a wild theory that Swift had purposely ‘edited out’ an engagement ring.

Meanwhile, fans are hoping to see if the romance might inspire some new music as Swift has been seen making multiple trips to Electric Lady Studios in New York earlier this year.

At this time, it is still unknown if she was working on new music or making progress on her journey of re-recording all the songs from her first six albums.

She only has two albums left to re-record her debut album, Taylor Swift, and her sixth release, Reputation.
