GMA’s Sam Champion has complained about waking up early to fill in for Ginger Zee, who’s been battling a major health issue.

Sam shared a clip to his personal Instagram after going live to chat with his friends and followers.

In it, he was clearly not used to getting up so early to cover for Ginger, 43, who was out for the day dealing with her own health concerns.

He made a few remarks that sounded a bit like complaints, in fact, to his viewers.

“Good morning, you guys,” Sam greeted those who tuned in, then cleared his throat.

“Wow, that was froggy, those were literally my first words of the morning,” the 62-year-old added.

“There’s Lincoln Center, so early they only have the step lights on,” he joked, since it was still dark out in the morning for him on his way to work.

“I’m in the car on the way to GMA today. Ginger is out today, so I believe I’m doing weather,” he added.

Sam then greeted a few more viewers in his Live video, and laughed.

“I only had two cups of coffee,” he told everyone.He continued his stream on the way to work in the dark of the morning and chatted with everyone about what he had been up to.

Meanwhile, Sam was previously seen lounging and showing off his sunburned chest during a sunny weekend with husband Rubem Robierb.

The meteorologist, 62, shared a shirtless selfie from the beach.

Sam often keeps his fans updated on his whereabouts with photos and videos on social media.

Though he works in New York, he spends a lot of his time in Florida.

After getting out of the cold and rainy weather in the northeast, the GMA personality enjoyed the sunshine and warm temperature in Miami.

He hit up a beach with his husband to get in a bit of tanning.

The two went shirtless, with Sam revealing his sunburnt chest, as they laid out on lounge chairs facing away from the ocean.

Rubem wore a hat and sunglasses, while Sam went without either.

Both had big smiles on their faces for the meteorologist’s “good morning” selfie he shared on Instagram.

“Windy morning… but seize the beach day! Weather likely to go downhill soon,” Sam captioned the post.

His followers hopped in the comments section to share how happy they were to see such a sweet photo.

“Nice to see your smiling faces,” wrote one fan.

“Enjoy your time together on the beach,” another told Sam.

“Rubem and Sam, looking good. Hope you guys enjoy your beach time. The beach is my favorite place,” commented a third fan.

Earlier this month, the couple enjoyed another beach day, but it was in Brazil instead of Florida.

In the photo, which was shared to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Sam was yet again relaxing on a beach lounger next to his husband.

This time, though, the snap revealed more of the duo’s bodies, revealing their swimsuits of choice.

The weatherman opted for a pair of black shorts, while Rubem wore a tiny, red speedo.

“Happy Happy New Year! celebrate safely and see you in the #NewYear,” Sam had captioned the snap at the time.
