GOOD Morning America star Ginger Zee has warned her fans about catfish imposters on social media in a shocking new post.

The GMA meteorologist revealed that a follower direct messaged her on Instagram to ask her if it was really her who proposed marriage.

The follower sent the note to Ginger, 43, that read, “Ginger. I have been talking to someone who says they are you.

“Can you tell me if you are separated from your husband, as we had arranged for me to emigrate to the states, so we could wed and I would help out with your boys.”

“Or on the other hand I’ve been conned hook, line, and sinker,” the user closed.

CLAPPING BACK

Ginger addressed the message in the caption of the post, writing, “Unfortunately not the first message like this… for the record, this is my ONLY account.

“I’ll never try to sell you something, ask for money… and definitely won’t make plans to marry you on DMs.

“Please be careful in the Wild West of catfish and scams on social media.”

“My friend @nevschulman certainly has job security. #catfish #fraud #scam,” she closed, mentioning the star of MTV’s Catfish show, Nev Schulman.

Ginger also added an open-mouthed emoji with an on-screen caption, reading, “Paging Nev from Catfish…no, that’s not me.”

The meteorologist has been married to her husband media personality Ben Aaron since 2014 and the couple shares two children, sons Adrian and Miles.

SHE’S BACK!

The TV star recently returned to GMA after a brief hiatus, much to the excitement of fans.

Ginger took a short break from the morning show to create content in honor of Earth Month, which happens every April.

Earlier this month, the news anchor posted an Instagram picture of a sunny scene, showing a dry landscape with a bright blue sky filled with clouds above.

“I’ll be back on @goodmorningamerica Thursday morning – but I really can’t wait to share all these stories with you for Earth Month,” she wrote in the caption.

Sam Champion, 62, filled in for the mom of two in the episode.

Ginger confirmed the reason behind her disappearance on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Taking a few days ahead of my next trip around the sun but appreciate every day I get to spend with you all for sure!” she revealed.

Prior to Ginger’s absence from the show, GMA celebrated her birthday one day early.

In a clip shared to her Instagram Stories, the entire crew wished Ginger a happy birthday.

They presented the beloved TV star with an over-the-top cake and other treats while circling the studio.
