GOOD Morning America’s Ginger Zee has revealed that her car was broken into and shared a warning with fans on social media.

The meteorologist shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday morning.

Ginger, 43, posted a photo of the inside of her car with glass and debris all over her leather seats.

Clothing and other items were also strewn about the backseat.

The TV star explained the incident in her caption, “Smash & grab was NOT what we had on our bingo card … that’s for sure.

“Grateful to be safe, the stuff they stole will be replaced… but it makes me sad for the folks that do this to get by.

She continued with an important message for her followers.

“IMPORTANT: Something we learned and I want to pass on: they have been targeting rental vehicles & specifically hatchbacks.

“Our items were not in plain sight, low, covered etc and we were only grabbing food and using the bathroom. 20 min tops.

“Car was parked right across the street from the salad joint we stopped at between shoots. It was a beautiful sunny day, about 2 pm.

Ginger concluded, “Lesson learned: bring everything inside with you at all times no matter where you are.”

Fans raced to the comments to offer their support for the TV personality.

“Terrible. Glad you’re all okay,” one person wrote.

“Thank you for sharing! We don’t get rentals too often, but that’s not something I would have thought about!” said another.

“It’s so annoying!!!! Why?” asked a third.

“People would rather steal and rob than get a job, it sickens me, at least you’re safe,” a fourth fan added.

“So glad you’re safe and very sorry this happened to you. Always a violation, but all will be restored to you,” chimed in one more.Ginger recently warned fans of a catfish situation circulating on social media

Last week, Ginger warned fans about another scary occurrence she encountered.

She shared the story about a fan who was catfished by someone pretending to be the ABC star.

“Ginger. I have been talking to someone who says they are you,” the fan’s note read.

“Can you tell me if you are separated from your husband, as we had arranged for me to emigrate to the states, so we could wed and I would help out with your boys.”

“Or on the other hand I’ve been conned hook, line, and sinker,” the user closed.

GINGER’S WARNING

Ginger addressed the situation in her caption and assured fans she would never do this.

“Unfortunately not the first message like this… for the record, this is my ONLY account.

“I’ll never try to sell you something, ask for money… and definitely won’t make plans to marry you on DMs.

“Please be careful in the Wild West of catfish and scams on social media.

“My friend @nevschulman certainly has job security. #catfish #fraud #scam,” Ginger closed, referencing the star of the MTV series Catfish, Nev Schulman.

She also included an open-mouthed emoji with the caption, “Paging Nev from Catfish…no, that’s not me.”

TAKING A BREAK

It all came after Ginger returned to GMA after a brief hiatus to work on another project.

She stepped back from her duties on the morning show to create content in honor of Earth Month, which happens every April.

Weeks earlier, the mom of two posted an Instagram picture of a sunny scene, showing a dry landscape with a bright blue sky filled with clouds above.

“I’ll be back on @goodmorningamerica Thursday morning – but I really can’t wait to share all these stories with you for Earth Month,” Ginger captioned it.

Fans expressed their excitement for her return in the comments.

“Ginger Zee we miss you I can’t wait to see what you have for Earth Day please be safe my friend,” a fan wrote.

“Yay, I miss seeing you,” echoed another.
