Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is officially back in 2025, stating he’s returning.

After a couple of weeks of will he or won’t he, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is officially suiting up again in 2025.

There was a thought that the 35-year-old future Hall of Famer would walk off into the sunset with Taylor Swift and enjoy the next phase of his life with the Grammy winner, but it appears he still has the desire and love for football.

The Super Bowl loss played a role in Travis deciding to return, and we can’t blame him with the manner in which Kansas City was curb-stomped, left a sour taste in the mouth.

ESPN’s Pat McAfee read out a text message he received from Kelce on the Pat McAfee Show in which No. 87 made it official.

“I’m coming back for sure. Gonna try to get into the best shape I’ve been this offseason and get back to the mountaintop,” Kelce wrote in a text to McAfee via The Pat McAfee Show. “Got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game and with how I got the guys ready for battle. I can’t go out like that!!!!”Kansas City Chiefs

Kelce’s return is a good boost to the Chiefs, as Patrick Mahomes’ weapons will look vastly different next season.

Marquise Brown, Juju Smith-Schuster, and DeAndre Hopkins are free agents, leaving Xavier Worthy and the returning Rashee Rice as his go-to guys. Now, he again has Kelce.

The Chiefs will be looking to bounce back from the horror Super Bowl loss, and that is made a little easier when you have a future Hall of Fame tight end in your ranks.
