THE BOLD and the Beautiful has big farewell to two more stars, as the actors who play them have joined another soap opera.

Michael Damian and Lauralee Bell, who play Danny Romalotti and Christine Blair respectively, have left the soap opera for The Young and the Restless.

The duo appeared on a crossover episode between The Bold and the Beautiful and its sister show, The Young and the Restless.

They had each been teasing their plans to reprise their roles on the show for weeks before the episode aired.

Michael and Lauralee will return to The Young and the Restless now that the arc is complete.

Both stars returned to the show in 2023, which excited longtime viewers.

They returned again for two episodes of the Young and the Restless, which aired the week of August 12 to August 16, leaving Genoa City for Los Angeles.

The episodes brought in an average of 2.639 million viewers, according to Soap Opera Network, which is 66,000 more viewers than the previous week.

The Young and the Restless ranked just ahead of The Bold and the Beautiful in ratings that week with 2.901 million viewers.

Lauralee Bell reposted a post on X containing the news, adding, “Thank you so much to everyone that watched.”

While millions tuned in to watch the episode, fans were upset to see yet another cast switchup.

“Please leave Danny & Christine out in LA. They are booooooring,” one complained.

A second agreed, writing, “God yes. They’ve been boring since the “80s. They really suck.”

“My thoughts exactly,” a third fan posted.

Someone else replied, “Agreed.”

Another critical fan whined, “This show is a mess!”

BIG LOSS

The Bold and the Beautiful has bid farewell to a number of stars recently.

On July 15, Paul “Hollis” Hollister (Hollis W Chambers) was killed off on the show unexpectedly.

His character was found dead at Il Giardino, after Tom Starr’s character, Clint Howard, was killed off earlier the same month.

During his autopsy, fans learned an important detail that suggested a murderous plot.

“He died of the same drug that killed Tom,” Finn (Tanner Novian) told Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), which left fans buzzing about a potential killer on the loose.

Tom was poisoned, which left fans speculating about Poppy (Romy Park), Justin (Aaron D. Spears), Jack (Ted King), and Luna’s aunt Li’s motivation to kill him.

“They bought all these unusual suspects in all of a sudden. Haven’t seen Justin or Jack in awhile. There’s Li , Justin’s got an odd expression, Poppy definitely has a motive. She didn’t want Tom to mess up her good thing,” a fan theory stated.

COMING BACK

The Bold and the Beautiful has also seen some exciting stars returning to the show.

Ted King returned to the show in July, reprising his role as criminal defense attorney Jack Finnegan.

His return to the show was brief, but fans were excited nonetheless.

Ted, who also appeared in General Hospital, had not appeared on the show since June 2023.

After appearing on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2021, he stepped away from the daytime TV show to film Oppenheimer.

During his return to the show on July 1, Ted’s character Jack came face-to-face with his estranged wife, played by Naomi Matsuda.

Jack also appeared in an episode of the show that aired on July 12.

He teased his return in June, sharing a photo of himself at CBS Television City in Los Angeles, where the show is filmed.

“Love being back in this building where icons have roamed the hallways for years,” he captioned the pic.
