Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb may not be spending their mornings together on TODAY anymore, but they do see each other at night.

Hoda, who left TODAY in January, surprised Savannah Feb. 25 at a book signing in Ridgewood, New Jersey, for Savannah’s new children’s book, “Mostly What God Does is Love You.”

Savannah said she was blown away that Hoda showed up because she doesn’t live anywhere near the bookstore.

“I thought I was hallucinating. It made me feel so good,” Savannah said Feb. 26 on TODAY.

“It was just amazing. It’s so, so sweet and so, so her,” she continued.

Hoda shared a series of videos leading up to and including the moment she revealed she was there in an Instagram post.

“The secret plot to surprise @savannahguthrie at her book signing event in Ridgewood, New Jersey….” Hoda captioned the trio of clips.

In the first one, she hides her face behind a copy of Savannah’s book. In the second, she captures a few of the people waiting for Savannah. In the third video, the crowd cheers as Savannah emerges down a set of stairs while Hoda remains hidden behind the book.

As Savannah walks to her spot to sign her book, Hoda emerges from the background.

“Can I be first?” she asks as she walks over to Savannah, who bends down in disbelief while the crowd cheers.

The pair then share a long hug as the onlookers coo in delight

“I love you,” Hoda says repeatedly as they hug again.

“I’m dying. I cannot believe this. What, are you even real?” a stunned Savannah says.

“Let me tell you what this girl has done ever since I’ve known her. She shows up for people,” Hoda tells the crowd.

“So do you,” Savannah says.

“I showed up for you!” Hoda says.

“I love this so much!!! You showed up ❤️❤️❤️ and that’s what life is about ❤️❤️❤️,” NBC News chief consumer investigative correspondent Vicky Nguyen commented.

Savannah also posted photos of her moment in a joint post with Hoda on their Instagram pages.

“Happiness is… your friend surprising — no, SHOCKING you — by showing up at your book event. @hodakotb there is just no one like you. my biggest cheerleader from beginning to end 💛💛💛,” she captioned a quartet of pictures of them hugging.

“In tears ❤️,” commented Jenna Bush Hager, who co-hosted TODAY with Hoda & Jenna with Hoda before she left TODAY in January.

This wasn’t the first time Hoda and Savannah have reunited since Hoda’s TODAY exit, either. The pair connected while on separate family vacations in Palm Beach, Florida, earlier this month.

“Oh and a bonus @hodakotb sighting for a little extra (sunshine),” Savannah captioned a picture with a sun emoji that included her and Hoda flashing huge smiles.
