Donald Trump turns his back on Travis Kelce

“Travis believes that it was unnecessary for Trump to take a dig at her.”

Before the Super Bowl, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had some kind things to say about United States President Donald Trump as he said it would be an “honor” to play in front of the president. However, Trump did not exactly reward Kelce for that kindness.

Ahead of the Super Bowl LIX showdown between the Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, Travis Kelce was asked about the possibility of Donald Trump attending the game. And he had a pretty glowing response.

“That’s awesome; it’s a great honor,” Kelce told reporters. “I think, you know, no matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life. And having the president there, you know, it’s the best country in the world. So, that’d be pretty cool.”

However, Trump did not reward that response with kindness toward Kelce or his girlfriend Taylor Swift.

Early in the game, Swift was shown on the video board in the stadium as she was introduced to the fans in attendance. However, instead of cheers, she was loudly booed by the crowd.

Trump, who was also in attendance at the big game and received a far more jovial welcome from the fans, took the opportunity to take a swipe at Swift on social media.

“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

It does not sound like Kelce was all that happy about this message from Trump.

An insider close to Kelce revealed to The Daily Mail that Kelce was not pleased with Trump’s comments, especially after he told reporters what an honor it would be to play in front of the president.

“Travis believes that it was unnecessary for Trump to take a dig at her especially after he voiced that he was honored for a president to be there,” the insider told The Daily Mail.
